chapter 7 - secrets

i woke up with vinnie staring at me smiling.

"good morning darling."

i push his head the other way "quit staring at me, u freak"

he laughs at me and gets up from the bed. as i try to follow him out of the bed, i immediately fall over as my legs are still sore from last night.

"what did u do to me." i look at him annoyed

"it's the vincent package, u get the best sex. and i break ur legs."

i laugh at him till we here footsteps coming toward my door. i can tell it's jetts footsteps. i point to my desk trying to warn vinnie about jett. vinnie carried me over to my chair and we started pretending to "work" on our imaginary biology project.

jett walked in straight away and we both turned our heads in his direction.

"hey y/-, oh. when did vinnie get here?"

"i, uhm, i got here while u were asleep."

"oookay, what are u doing in here?"

"we're just working on our biology project! it's due monday." i say making up lies on the spot

"alright then. vinnie do u wanna go do something else?"

"yea sure, let's go." vinnie says, scratching his head.

as jett walks out vinnie follows form behind and turns so wave and wink at me.

i smile at him and try to stand up again. "fuck" i take slow and small steps and finally get to the bathroom. i brush my teeth and put on fresh clothes. i walk downstairs and i see vinnie and jett playing valorant. i go down and sit with them.  after a 10 minutes, jett announces loud and proud

"i'm going to the bathroom, i need to take a shit."

"gross, i'm going to get water" i say standing up, trembling a little. jett looks at me with a questioning look.

"don't worry bro, take as long as u need" vinnie tell jett as he turns his head to wink at me.

jett walks away and as soon as jett exits the room, vinnie walks up to me and wraps his arms around my waist. that caught me off guard.

"still can't walk, huh?" he says turning me around.

"mhm" i mumble, drinking my water.

vinnie takes the water out of my hands and places it on the counter. "so, i have a question? what would u think if, just bare with me. if u were my girlfriend?"

oh. my. god. i cannot do this. i've never had a boyfriend before. and to have vinnie as my first boyfriend? the sex god?

"i mean, i would love it but, i'm new to this stuff. and what about jett. what would he think about this?" i shrug

"who gives a fuck about jett. i want to be with u jo matter what, even if it breaks our friendship."

"no no no no, i don't want to do that. i think it's better if we just stay close friends." i say walking away.

vinnie grabs my arm harshly and turns me back around so we're 1 inch away from each other.

i can feel his warm breath on my skin and his body against mine.

"don't u ever say that shit again, u hear me?" he whispers.

"if ur really worried about what would happen between jett and i, i guess we could secretly date. if ur okay with that." he adds

"yes. yes, i would like that very much."

we collide into a hug until jett come walking back into the room. we quickly seperate form each other and look for things to do.

"what's going on?" he asks

"jsut getting water." i say

"do u guys have any good snacks?" vinnie says, acting totally casual. i don't know how he does that.

"okay, whatever. let's get back to the game." jett says walking toward the couch.

since jetts back is facing us, vinnie gives me a quick kiss on the check and goes to sit with jett.

i wonder what it will be like at school.
