"   I believe in the kind of love that
doesn't demand me to prove my
worth and sit in anxiety. I crave a
     natural connection, where my soul
is able to recognize a feeling of
     home in another. Something
     free-flowing, something simple.
Something that allows me to be
     me without question...   "

FRIDA VALERÍA CASIANO wasn't an artist like her namesake nor did she often venture outside her normal routine. Being born to a single mother who worked two jobs just to make ends meet, as harsh as she was. She enjoyed the simple things in life, cheap candy bars and lemonade kids just around her age were selling on the corners of the streets in Puerto Rico. Valería would put on small solo plays around her neighborhood in hopes to help her mother with the rent.

Her first acting gig was as an extra in a small indie film, she got 5 pesos for the role, which single handedly helped her and mother stay fed for a week. 'Ría's talent was noticed by an agent vacationing in the American territory, giving her an opportunity to attend an acting school in New York. Yet, she refused to leave her mother, she could barely work nowadays. The matriarch had no way to live without her daughter. Their next door neighbor, Mr. Hernandez had a son who would always swoon over Valería whenever she walked by. He swore to look after the matriarch while she attended school, until she got back.

Now, she sends a monthly check to her mother from Brooklyn so she can live happily, without having to worry. Valería paid off the house like she always promised, visiting home whenever her job gave her the chance. The acting community had welcomed her with open arms, most importantly Oscar Isaac, he saw her as a sister, his kids saw her as their aunt. Valería Casiano adored her life, more than thrilled to have gotten a gig in the same movie as her best friend. Reconnecting with a man who was previously her co-worker on Narcos.
