As I wept and wept,
I watched as she slept.
Her golden hair
Brings my despair.
As I crept she leapt.
I looked so unkempt,
Though she looked so fair,
With her golden hair.
As I pray she stay away,
She came close and God said nay.
I wanted to run I could not accept,
With her strands as yellow as the sun so upswept.
I saw her glare,
Oh, my despair!
She lunged as I sidestepped,
But she decided to intercept
Her look gave me a scare,
And I fell down the stair.
Before I could get away
Me in my disarray
Forgot she is so adept
While I’m inept.
She’s my love I swear,
My love and her golden hair.

PoetryThis is a poem I wrote and am quite happy with despite its flaws. If this gets enough traction and good reviews, I'll post my second one.
