Mellisa breathed out loud as soon as her feet set down the pavement. She had fingers crossed the whole flight, Coming from a superstitious family she believed something was gonna go wrong with her flight because she had lied to her family, but nothing happened. She was very much relieved.

"Welcome Miss Adebayo, the black car is waiting for you. This way." Said a man in a black and white suit. He was very tall and handsome, he was Asian maybe mixed with white? Mellisa wondered, his face looked annoyed and Mellisa decided to annoy him more, "Not gonna lie, if you were to kidnap me I was gonna be an easy target. I feel very important right now." she said and the driver rolled his eyes, taking Mellisa's bags. The young lady he was driving seemed very chatty, and never kept quiet, that annoyed him. "This way ma'am." He said with more force this time.

"Don't get your panties in a twist Mr Driver." She said following the grumpy driver. The driver sighed "My name is Eugene, not Mr Driver and- you know what forget it." He said and got in his driver's seat and started the car. "Job well done, you don't get to be annoyed at me for no reason." Mellisa mumbled under her breath and got in the passenger side.

After a few minutes, Melissa could feel the exhaustion creeping in. She yawned and got comfortable in the backseats. Eugene allowed her to switch at some point, he was too pissed to say no and Mellisa was planning to nag him until he agreed.

She switched on her phone and immediately a string of notifications flooded in. A lot of goodbyes and goodlucks. From her parents to her distant families, even cousins she last talked to when she was young. Although their texts felt like they're confirming that she was really overseas. So she smiled and switched off her phone, not bothering to reply to anyone.

"We're here ma'am." The driver announced and Mellisa looked outside her window and she almost chocked on her spit. "Oh my god." She gasped. "Yes yes it's a mansion. It's very big get it on." The driver said and Mellisa paused and turned back to him "With all due respect, don't speak to me that way. Gosh I feel bad for your parents. " She muttered the last part and the Eugene caught it. "What do you mean by that?" He out his hands on his waist. "Didn't they teach you to respect people? Strangers who have been nice you at that?" She said mimicking Eugene, hands on her waist and puffed out chest. The young driver scoffed. "You were nice? Nice? You talked my ear off from boarding to landing, from the driving point to here. That's you being nice? If you learn to shut your mouth-" "if you don't treat our visitors nicely..." A different voice cut the grumpy young man's rant. And the young driver immediately clamped his mouth shut.

"Yes Mr Parker." Mellisa turned to see an elderly man. Pepper hair and in a clad suit and a very pasted on smile. "Welcome...Miss Adebayo?" He said and stretched out his hand Mellisa gulped and patted herself, an attempt to make her self look presentable. "Yes Mr Parker. I prefer you call me Mellisa or Lisa. Anything you want really. You're my employer, thank you so much by the way for this opportunity-" the taller man cut her ramble off with a chuckle. "Oh don't worry Mellisa. Calm down too, call me Ben. Let's go in" he said and Mellisa tried gathering her luggage "Oh no, Gene will bring those up." Ben said and walked off.

She looked at Eugene and smirked "Yes sir." She said and followed Ben.
