Cross Academy

Rido Kuran..

I looked down at the gun in my hand, and could only think of my sister and Zero, I needed to be out there to protect them, but I couldn't. All of a sudden I smelt blood and filled with shock, the blood was Kaylee... "Kaylee!" I ran towards the door and went to open it "you're becoming a problem" I turned to Kaname's voice and saw him by the window "You're going to see your sister correct?" "Kaname.." "Kaylee is trying to resurrect herself in order to protect you Dakota" I stood there in shock, I was so confused, "What do you mean?" I asked.

"I had to protect you from Rido Kuran" "Rido..Kuran?" I said and he patted the bed and I sat down while he stood in front of me "In order to protect you from him, I needed to use Kaylee, and, I also killed Shizuka.. I'm Sorry Dakota, In trying to protect you, I have hurt you the most, I'm sorry" Kaname said, his voice shaking, "It is time, I must do what I must do, and you must do what you must do" I looked up at Kaname and smiled and Jumped out the window to Find Kaylee.

"What I must do" I said and stood at the forest line, I turned around to footsteps and held the gun I had than put it back, I tried to think hard with my powers to levitate the rocks around me when they disintegrated, I turned my head seeing Riley, Aido, Akito and Luca, "What are you doing?!" Aido asked, "Weren't you going to retrieve your Artemis?!" He added  "I'm not able to use it right now." I sighed looking away from them, "Than its best you stay hidden, You've only just awakened, It's too reckless to think of fighting without a weapon" Akito said "But I want to fight!" I yelled, "Than let me put it another way, Lady Kota, I beseech you, Please stop your righteous behavior it's meaningless" Luca hissed turning away from me, "Our master had given us orders, to protect you from Rido Kuran at all cost." Riley said with a stern voice, She was my best friend, turned into a vampire by Kaname, but wont ever go to level E because she had also drank his blood to save her.

I knew out of them Aido and Her cared the most about protecting me the other two only did because it was ordered by Kaname, "Please let me go" I asked, "You are precisely the one Rido Kuran is after, Dakota, Please cooperate and leave this place" Riley said with a soft voice making me think what was for the best "I know, and that's why-" "That's enough! Think of the position you're in - " "It's going to be a difficult battle" Aido said after Luca cut me off. "Hanabusa" Luca looked at him with a worried look, "That's fine with you right?" he asked, and I nodded my head, I needed to protect the ones I loved, and the Academy, headmaster put Aido Zero and I as Guardians of this Academy for a reason, I feel like this was the reason.

We all heard an explosion and ran off towards the main gate, I saw Ichiru shooting at the Vampires, Aido and I ran forward as Aido shot ice at the two Level Es making them disintegrate "Ichiru!" I yelled running towards him, I looked forward and a wall of fire appeard "Are you alright are you hurt?" I asked and Ichiru shook his head, "who are they?" Aido asked, "Those are Level E vampire who were kept by the Society in absolute secrecy"

I looked over as three of the vampires jumped over the fire towards us. Out of no where Headmaster came out hitting the three of them with his sword as the disentegrated in mid air. "Headmaster!" I called out "I'm sorry I'm late" he said standing up straight "Did you remember Juri, Your real mother?" He asked and I nodded my head, and he smiled "I see" than he looked at everyone "Everyone, please protect Dakota, Rather, Cross Academy" he said than jumped up to the top of the gate "I will not allow you to go any further" he said as he stabbed his sword into the Gate causing it to fall and shatter crushing some of the vampires underneath it.

I looked up and saw Headmaster still standing there "Leave them to me" he said "That's crazy! How can you take on so many of the alone?!" Riley called out "Headmaster!" I yelled, "It's not headmaster. Call me father." He said standing up straight, "Your right, Father" I said and he jumped down towards all the level E's "Father!" I cried out but it was to late he was already gone. "That reckless old man" Ichiru sighed "He is trying to protect the academy, Let's go, to whereever Rido Kuran is!" I ordered "Are you sure?" Luca asked and I nodded my head, "This is what I must do to protect this academy!" I answered.

Ichiru laughed and nudged me "You may not be related to the headmaster through blood, but you're his daughter, all right, You both have the same recklessness" He said getting off the ground, and I put m head down "Don't worry. I won't let that old man be the only one to work." he said and I nodded my head.

We all ran towards the Night class dorm and saw Rima and Senri sitting outside the door "You guys are way late" Senri sighed, "Did you find Rido?" Riley asked, "We didn't have to look to long, he has very bad taste, He's too easy to track" Rima said pointing towards the doors, the seven of us ran inside seeing a bunch of people who Rido has bitten and were turning into Level E vampires, and it really started to worry me.

We ran out and came to the top of the school and their I saw Rido with a bunch of level E vampires and I started to think if this was a good Idea or not, "I've been waiting for you Juri. I'm glad you came, are you so eager to become one with me?" He asked, I went to run forward "We are you opponents!" Riley yelled as the six of them ran forward. "I will get you for what you did!" Rima added, I looked over within seconds all of them were surrounded by a black smoke "you are all vampires, you cannot lay a hand on a pureblood. I really don't want to ruin this special night by being boorish, so you guys can have your fun" Rido said and dozens of Vampires stood up.

All the vampire walked and surrounded them "Stop it Rido!" I yelled while running towards him and he disappeared, "where did he?" all of a sudden two arms wrapped around me and pulled me back "Let go of me!" I yelled and tried my best to get out of his grip "This is Juri's smell" He said his mouth getting close to my neck, I reached for the Artemis but it still shocked me, at this rate, what i must do is deal with the pain.

"Let her be!" Aido yelled, I grabbed the artemis and delt with the pain and swung it at Rido and it let out a bright blue light, "Artimse rod" "How did the Pureblood princess wield an anti-vampire weapon?!" Akito asked, "I am a Guardian, I will protect this academy! Not only the day class student, but the night class student too!" I yelled holding the Artemis above my head "Thats not my Juri, Wait you're Juri's Daughter!"

I turned and pointed the Artemis at the other vampires "All right! Get away from those people!" I yelled and they all backed away off of them, "You have more ambition than Juri, Juri was more docile than you, Yes, when I first drank her blood," i turned in shock as the red vine looking thing came up from the ground wrapping around my hands and feet "Let go of her!" Riley yelled, I stood their in pain trying to stuggle to get free but nothing worked. "Come on, Cry out for help, Juri did too, the first time, She cried in tears, Haruka, Haruka, That was a masterpiece" Rido smiled, "what?" I looked over as the vines wrapped around my neck, "Call out the name of the one you love" He laughed

I gun shot rang and I turned my head "Zero." "Get your filthy hands off her!" He said holding the Bloody rose in front of him, The vines all disappeard and I dropped to the ground, I turned back and saw Zero, a gun shot to his arm, and the pain on his face, "how dangerous" Rido laughed "You Monster!" Zero yelled holding the bloody rose towards Rido again, I looked over as Zeros shoulder grew bigger and bigger, "Zero!" "Whats happening "His power is out of control" Senri pointed out. Zero slammed his arm on the ground causing the ground to break and fly cement everywhere, Aido quickly ran out pulling me out of the way and laying on top of me so I wouldn't get hurt.

"Zero!" I yelled, "Kota, use your Artemis rod and cut me!" he yelled throught the pain "Are you out of your mind!" Akito yelled, "Im not! Thats why I'm telling you! That's the only way to control my power that is running wild!" "But the Artemis rod is-" "Dakota this is not a weapon that will kill me" Zero said trying to calm down , I ran towards Zero cutting his arm and he looked relieved as Rido bursted into laughter, "Interesting, Fine. I'll play with you as much as you want, Kill me as often as you want, I shall resurrect as often as I want" Zero raised the bloody rose as it lit a bright blue like my Artemis did, "I choose to live and fulfill!"
