Ok, so I recently rewatched Puss In Boots 2: The Last Wish on DVD and wow I adored it! It is officially one of my favorite movies I've seen. Hell, it could be my favorite DreamWorks movie since The Bad Guys, which I also had a good time with. The story, animation, and storytelling were amazing.
As much as I think the first Puss In Boots movie is hugely underrated, the second one was even better in my opinion. I love how Puss came in terms with his mortality, and accepting others and making amends with Kitty Softpaws. I believed their relationship very much and it's one of my favorite animated film couples The panic attack scene was cute and got me emotional when I first saw it.
Perrito is cute, Goldi and the bears were a delight to see in this movie. Jack Horner is downright pure evil, and he knows that! He loves being evil and it's good to have a villain like that. 👍👍 He's better than nearly all of modern Disney's villains (which are kinda meh nowadays) The Death Wolf is menacing and terrifying.
The dialogue was great, as well as the songs such as Fearless Hero, and the end credits song. The humor was very clever lol. Some jokes even made me laugh out loud when I first saw this film in theaters. The animation, holy hell the animation is absolutely stunning. It made it hard for me to tear my eyes off the screen! The climax with everyone grappling with the wishing Star map was action packed. 😁
Overall, five stars out of five! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Also, the ending totally teased Shrek 5, which I am all in for! Give me Puss, Shrek, Fiona, and Donkey bonding! Please🥺
