The young Queen Lya Targaryen was heavily pregnant as she stood beside her husband, the King Viserys I Targaryen, and their three sons. Their sons now were close to becoming men, but not in her eyes. The five of them wore black like the rest of the Velaryon-Targaryen family as they stood behind the coffin of Laena Velaryon-Targaryen. Lya put a hand on her husband's arm as a comforting gesture as she knew that such a scene reminded him of all those years ago. Her husband laid his hand on top of hers for a moment, rubbing her knuckles with his thumb before he pulled away.

The youngest of the Prince's held onto his mother's arm just like the Prince Lucerys Velaryon did with his mother Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen. Lya had only given the other woman a solemn smile as there was no time for talk, not until Vaemond Velaryon began to speak in High Valyrian. Lya had no idea what the man was saying, but she could see that it was causing a rift between Rhaenyra, Laenor, and Vaemond himself until Daemon Targaryen let out a giggle. The entire family seemed to eye the Prince as if he was on fire, Lya couldn't help but find herself becoming more confused at the situation.

_________

Everyone stood outside after the heavy stone coffin of Laena Velaryon-Targaryen fell into the ocean. There was tables with beverages and finger foods to occupy the people until the feast was ready. Queen Lya Targaryen sat on a chair that had been brought for her as her legs, back, feet hurt immensely. She began to become ill as the pain caused a headache to start while her husband stayed within eye sight of her at all times. She enjoyed and loved how caring he was, but it also depressed her to remember what he had already gone through with his beloved Aemma.

Lya knew that Viserys fretted over losing her too, he had made it clear that this time he would not make the same mistake. The young woman sighed as she stood up to go socialize and pay her respects to Rhaenys, Corlys, and Laenor. Though, her first stop was to the Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen. "Hello, Princess, your sons are handsome. This one is a copy of his mother," she motioned to the curly haired Lucerys Velaryon. The rumors of the boys parentage wasn't unknown, but the Queen herself would protect them with her entire soul as she knew that Rhaenyra would not force Laenor to give her an heir and Laenor clearly loved the boys as if they were truly his.

"Thank you, Your Grace. Your boys are handsome too. Do you think your next will be a girl," Princess Rhaenyra smiled and questioned her step-mother. Over the years Rhaenyra has learned to accept Lya as her step-mother and even as a friend as the other woman had no ill intentions of marrying her father. It did help that Viserys himself was happy in the marriage as well, it made Rhaenyra's heart swell to see her father happy once again and healthy. She could tell as Viserys did not wear any gloves, seemingly proudly showing off his missing pinky finger. Rhaenyra was glad the sickness was cured by Lya's maesters.

Queen Lya opened her mouth to speak, but another voice interrupted her. The voice belonged to no other than the Prince Daemon Targaryen himself, "Rhaenyra, Your Grace. I see my brother keeps you busy. At least he seems...happy," his words did not offend Lya as she knew that the prince did not mean them in such a way. Her husband had told her enough of Daemon for her to figure him out, and she enjoyed his presence as he didn't care what others though and didn't care what he said. Lya couldn't help but see him like a brother.

"Prince Daemon, I am sorry about Laena. You have beautiful girls, the older one seems to take after you," Lya spoke to the rogue prince with a solemn smile as she gently squeezed his arm before pulling her hand away. Her arm rested with the other on her stomach, it was an instictive move. She couldn't help but shift from foot to foot as her swollen feet kept bothering her, but she could not break up this conversation to get a chair.
