LAN ZHAN AND WEI YING'S ETERNAL DESTINY BOOK 3

CHAPTER 15

With hurried steps Wei Ying reached the porch where Lan Zhan was now standing there thinking that the worst might have happened to his love. His emotions were unstable and his heart pumped like it was silent for a long time. He had just gotten him back and even confessed to Wei Ying, who also reciprocated his feelings. He had thought it was also ok if Wei Ying took him as a friend, but the Gods had heard his cries and returned his love back to him.

"Lan Zhan... I'm here, I'm here...calm down. I'm sorry I didn't tell you where I was going. I thought I would come back before you finished taking a bath. I'm sorry, please calm down."

The thing was...when Wei Ying was outside the gate he had felt his heart tightening like it was being squeezed out. He tried to understand why he had that feeling all of a sudden, but the mark on his chest burned and lit a little. It was a where their bond had connected and he knew when it lit and he started feeling hot and uncomfortable that something was wrong. Even though it took him just a few minutes to understand why it was happening but, he was able to understand that when the mark lit then it must be because of his other half, and when he felt pain in his heart he finally understood that the feelings he felt were Lan Zhan's.

He hugged him tightly and rubbed his back to calm him down, he felt him tremble between his arms and he felt his pain and his panick. He didn't understand why Lan Zhan would feel that way, why would he become worried like that when everything was fine before he left. He concluded that something might have happened to set him off like that and he noted it that he was going to ask him after he had calmed down.

Lan Xichen who had followed Wei Ying after he had just saw a change in his expression, was worried that maybe there was something wrong with his brother and panicked. When he reached , he saw that his Wangji'was someone else, he had changed so much in just a few hours that he saw him. He saw his he was worried about Wei Ying, turning him around after a tight hug with a worried expression laced on his face.

"Wangji! Are you alright? Lan Xichen asked

"He is fine now Zewu Jun, he was just worried about me, isn't that right Lan-er-Gongzi?"

Wei Ying chuckled at what he had just said, it sounded strange to call him that because from the first day they met he had called him by his birth name other than the name everyone called him by. Lan Xichen smiled and looked at his brother who was looking at Wei Ying with soft and loving eyes.

"Wangji...I see now that you have found your other half, you must be really happy by now." Lan Xichen teased his over protective brother

"Xiongzhang...-"  Lan Zhan wanted to say something but then he looked at Wei Ying and back at his brother and back at Wei Ying. There was something off about how Wei Ying behaved like he understood what his brother was saying. But he got confused, he thought him and his brother had decided to not tell Wei Ying anything about his past and now it sounded to him like he had told him. He let it go, he wanted to see how Wei Ying was to react after his brother had told him a little bit about his past. Or was it little? He thought to himself. He knew that if he had told him everything then he would surely have a mental breakdown. He was to keep an eye on him to see the changes.

Lan Xichen bit them goodbye even though he had wanted to speak with his brother, but seeing how climgly Wei Ying was on his brother, he knew it was impossible to do that at that moment. He left and Lan Zhan and Wei Ying were about to go inside the Jingshi when a maiden enter the gate with their food and greeted Lan Xichen on his way out. She greeted the two respectfully and held the tray in place for instructions.  Wei Ying looked at Lan Zhan and back at the maid.

"Uh! Thank you very much"

Wei Ying said to the maid as he saw Lan Zhan lowering his eyes not taking the tray. Wei Ying knew that when the maidens deliver food they get inside and start preparing and fishing up before leaving. After an hour or two they would also come back and take away the tray after tidying up. But here was a maid standing there and not doing her duty by doing what they normally did.

"You can take it inside, thank you!"

Wei Ying got surprised when the maiden gasped and stepped back without making eye contact. When he turned to look at Lan Zhan he saw that he was now looking at him.

"Lan Zhan...what is it? Why are you looking at me like that?" Wei Ying was confused.

"Err...the thing is...no one is allowed inside Young Master Lan's house. I'm honoured to serve him and I feel lucky, because I'm the only one allowed to enter his yard."

The maiden explained. But there was something off about the whole thing, he knew it was of time to ask Lan Zhan later so he asked the maiden instead.

"错过 Cuòguò (*miss*) if no one is allowed here, then why are you allowed? And why is no one allowed to begin with with?"

"Well...the thing is...all the maidens that came here were all interested in Young Master Lan, they came here for a purpose, and that is to seduce Young Master Lan. So he stopped then from coming here." the maiden said.

"Nǐ ne?... I mean if everyone isn't allowed here then why are you allowed?". Wei Ying aksed because he saw the maiden blush looking at Lan Zhan. He knew the maiden was no different. So he didn't want to say anything further and just took the tray from her hands. She stood there for a few second and cast one last glance at Lan Zhan abefirs running of blushing and giggling.

He looked at Lan Zhan and sighed and looked back at the maid and said.

"This is going to be more interesting than I thought."

He liked back at Lan Zhan who had kept his head lowered before going inside. Lan Zhan also followed and Wei Ying sat the tray down. Lan Zhan preoared the food with Wei Ying looking at him intently as if he was reading his mind. He rubbed his nose three times using his pointy finger then laid on his side, balancing himself with an elbow and his hand supporting his head and kept on looking. He sighed and asked...

"Lan Zhan...do you like that maiden"
