"Are you sure you want to go alone?" Alessandra asked as she leaned against my closet doorframe. "I know what my brother did was stupid, but you guys can work things out. Now more than ever, you have to show a united front."
"We will," I gave Alessandra forced smile. "I will be at the Hollywood mansion when the Princess arrives. We will be a happy couple and show a united front, but right now I need some time alone to think."
Alessandra frowned a little but gave me an understanding nod.
"If you need me to go and give my brother an ear pulling, just call me and I'll be there," Alessandra said as she gave me a quick hug before leaving.
I could not help but chuckle at her little joke. I zipped up my suitcase and made my way downstairs.
"Ms Astoria, let me get that for you." One of the house maids grabbed my suit case and took it to the awaiting car.
"Marlene!" I called out and the maid turned to look back at me. "Do you know if Mr Villanueva already left?"
"Yes ma'am. He left early in the morning," Marlene replied before continuing her walk to the car.
Damn.
I knew I should be happy that he had gone before me to avoid an awkward encounters, but it still pained me.
You're the one who told him to leave you alone, my inner voice reminded.
I looked back at the spiral staircase before making my way into the black SUV. I slumped into my seat as the driver started the car and pulled out the large driveway.

"Your seat is right this way Ms Astoria," the flight attended said as she led me to the upper-level of the plane which was the first-class section.
There weren't many seats and even fewer passengers on this level. I was led toward the back row which was basically isolated and took my seat next to the window. There was a small divider between me and the seat next to me to have more privacy.
"This is your seat sir." Another flight attended entered with another passenger.
She pointed to the seat beside me and I lowered my gaze uncomfortably. I hated being seated next to someone else, even if there was a divider. I guess it was my anti-social attitude.
I glanced over at the man. He wore a black face mask, dark shades and a black cap. His face was hardly visible. I find out it suspicious and unnerving until a familiar scent enters my nose. It was mixture of leather, cedar-wood and hints of mint. I snap my gaze at the man immediately.
"Dante?" I ask while raising a brow.
The man immediately began coughing uncontrollably. He shook his head at my question.
