I woke up in a sweat, gasping and sucking air into my lungs as my eyes focused on the familiar surroundings around me. As I gulped down a breathe and looked around
Catching my breathe at last
I let out a long sigh " this damn nightmares.. " I said to myself I'm 18 and still having nightmares god...a slight shiver ran up my spine as I remembered my past dream
It was.. something I'd rather not want to see more than once
I looked over at my two-sided window from hearing a slight creak to my left looking at the slightly ajar window as it freaked back and forth inviting the death threatening cold in
I groaned and slumped to my side, I then stood rubbing my eyes and temples as I walked to the window looking out at the large trees and sight of the two large mountains on display the moon barely visible hiding behind the largest mountain of the two.
The trees swayed calmly as soft wind went through them and swept through the forest
I sighed and opened the window more sticking my head out as the cold air rubbed against my face blowing my hair out of my eyes
I took in a deep breath the cold sharp air tingling my nose and lungs as it soothed my rigid body making my shoulders slump and my head hung lightly, I smiled to myself as I closed the window with a click from the lock.
I needed to get ready for the day since today was the start of getting up early now for my new job the garden plow weird name I know.
They sell plants and flowers which is why I asked to work there in the first place my room filled with the things, and since they don't have that much employees they hired me almost immediately
At least my boss looked friendly and not one of those crazy ones that yell at you
For any small mistake but at least the pay is fair.
I stand and reached into my closet pulling out a brown leather jacket Back jeans and a hazel shirt throwing them onto my bed and stripping down and pulling off my night wear as I sat on the side of the bed again reaching into the top drawer beside it
And pulling out long brown socks I then pulled them on and changed into my outfit looking in the mirror and combing my hair to my liking smiling to myself as I fixed it
I opened my door and looked around cautious as I stepped out and quitley walked down the hall the wooden floors creaking slightly as I cringed
I walked into the kitchen and started making myself a peanut butter sandwich trying to be quiet as I can
" Ethan! Oh you look handsome today! " I froze and groaned turning around and forcing a grin
My mother Mary stood behind me wearing her regular fluffy black coat and wavy black hair " hi ma " I said smiling and leaning down kissing her on the cheek
" Morning I'm just making something real quick I got to run to my new job today " I said spreading the peanut butter on the bread
" Just that! Ethan your a damn skeleton enough! Eat some more than just that you'll starve there! " She said already leaning into the fridge and looking in it searching for anything to give me
I sighed and shook my head slightly" I can't ma I have to go quick I'll pick up something from Randy's " I said slapping the bread together and placing it into a brown bag
Placing the jar back into the cabinet and the butter knife in the sink, she leaned back and nodded " okay, but you better go to Randy's! " She said pointing her finger at me sternly
I chuckled and hugged her behind running to the door " I will I will! Love you ma!" I said walking out the door hearing a slightly muffled ' I love you too ' from her as I shut the door behind me. the breeze hit me in the face making me blink, guess the wind got stronger
I looked down at the dirt path and ran down it opening the bag and stuffing the sandwich in my mouth the taste of fresh peanut butter melting in my mouth
We bought it especially fresh and home mad from a friend of ma she likes getting it from her because it comes free to us because of their long friendship.
I looked up at the sun and it had already risen up in the air the moon was gone now, I looked around at the trees they swayed harder leafs falling from the branches slowly then following the wind
I chewed the last piece of my sandwich and gulped it down licking my lips from the access peanut butter left on my lips
Hope this first day on the job goes well...
