Tengen, You, Hinatsuru, Makio, Suma were watching your kids mess around chasing fireflies trying to catch them in their hands. The sky was dark blue with the moon shining to make it a bit brighter, the nice breeze was blowing softly. Seeing everyone smile and having a good time would always bring a smile onto your face.
"See I caught one before you!" Hitoshi teased Toko sticking his tongue out.
"Put your tongue in your mouth before I cut it off!" Toko joked
"Oh god" Makio chuckled.
"Nobody's cutting off tongues today" Tengen chuckled.
Not too long later, you notice a purple butterfly pass by
(Ok ion kno if you done read the manga or not but! spoiler warning!)
The purple butterfly reminded you of Shinobu. During the final battle, she was fighting Upper moon 2, Douma. She was able to inject poison in him to weaken him, but she shortly died later. Kanao and Inosuke finished him off shortly afterwards. Along with Mitsuri, Obanai, Gyomei, Genya, Muichiro. Even though Muichiro didn't really remember who you were- well that went for everyone, he was still your favorite.
The butterfly landed on your finger as it flapped it's wings
"Wow, that's a very pretty butterfly mom!" Hitoshi glanced over
"Indeed it is" Hinatsuru smiled
"Is it blue or indigo?" Hitoshi asked squinting his eyes
"Dummy it's blue" Toko said slapping the back of his head
"Ow, that hurt!" Hitoshi yelled
"Your fine" Toko smirked
"It feels like I just got a concussion idiot!" Hitoshi said rubbing the back of his head
"But did you die?" Toko joked
"Maybe, I don't know anymore!" Hitoshi cried
"Calm down, you'll scare the butterfly away" Daisuke said quietly
Daisuke's eye sparkled looking at the butterfly "So pretty" Daisuke spoke
Tengen looked down at you to see tears form in your eyes
"How bout you take the butterfly Daisuke?" Tengen asked
"How though?" He asked
"Just hold your finger out like your mother's doing right now" Tengen said ruffling his hair
"Ok" Daisuke said lifting his arm and pointing out his pointer finger.
Hinatsuru squated down next to his son and watched as the butterfly flew towards his hand
"How about me and Y/n go get Blankets and we can start gaze?" Tengen smiled holding your shoulder
"Alright, We'll wait here for you guys" Makio nodded
You and Tengen started walking back and Tengen had given you a hug, after a few moments you start to cry for a couple minutes. While you where crying Tengen held you telling you it was ok.
"I know you miss her, but she wouldn't want you to be crying about her death" Tengen said stroking your hair
"I know that, it's just hard even after years" You say wiping your eyes
"I'm sure she's in a good place now" Tengen smiled
"Yea, especially if Kanae's there" You say walking into the house
The two of you get some blankets and some snacks then walk back to the others. Hinatsuru was sitting next to her son that was still holding the butterfly, Makio and Suma were trying to stop Toko and Hitoshi from an argument.
"Hey guys we're back!" Tengen smiled
"Hi dad!" Hitoshi smiled rushing over to give him a hug
"Let's find a good area to star gaze, ok" You smile
As you guys started walking to a wide area, Toko was carrying sleeping Hitoshi as Daisuke helped you carried the snacks you grabbed along the way. You all put down the stuff you got and get everything situated to star gaze and relax for the next couple of hours .
"That one looks so pretty!" Hitoshi smiled holding crackers in his hands
"Yeah it is" Suma smiled
"It's really nice out as well" Hinatsuru added
"Can we stay here forever~?" Hitoshi cried
"We can't stay here forever love, the house needs us too" You and Makio chuckle
"Okay" Hitoshi smiled
"That was probably the easiest thing to convince him on" You whisper to Makio
"Right" Makio smiled
After a while you guys walked back to the house after cleaning up everything everyone went to sleep for the night.
"Goodnight Daisuke" You say ruffling his hair
"Night" Daisuke smiled
You walked to Hitoshi's room to see him fast asleep. You walk into his room and kiss his forehead
"Goodnight Hitoshi" You whispered
Hitoshi turned away from you now facing the wall. You got up and walked to Toko's room to see her writing
"Whatcha writing?" You asked
"Just some more notes that's all" Toko smiled
"Well we can do that next week" You say "It's the weekend, you get a break from all that stress so use it to your advantage and relax"
"Alright" Toko smiled
"Now, get in bed" You smiled
"Night mom" Toko said
"Goodnight" Makio said standing at the doorway
"When were you standing there?" You asked
"The entire time" Makio smiled
"Lord Tengen wanted to see you Y/n!" Suma said peeking her head in
"I was supposed to say it" Makio glared at her
"I'm sorry, you weren't getting to the point fast enough Makio" Suma said crying
"I'll be there in a second" You chuckle "Night Toko"
You left the room and turned off her lamp and headed towards Tengen who was out in the back
"Hey, Suma said you needed something" You say sitting down next to him
"Your remember Tanjiro, right?" Tengen asked
"Yeah who would ever forget that kid?" You say resting your head on his arm
"Well he was wondering if he could visit us tomorrow"
