. . .

I dont feel anything anymore. no more regret no more depression and what was most suprising, no fear. Im not afraid of anything, not even death I feel. . . empty.

*Bang* Bang* *Bang*
I space out onto the ceiling doing my best to ignore the loud banging coming from all around my room. I don't show a reaction, I keep an emotionless expression. That is what they want after all, for me to break. I wont let her win. But the longer I wait the louder the banging becomes. Eventually the noise becomes unbearable so, I decided to face her. I opened the door and all the cabinets and drawers in the cabin started to slam open repeatedly causing the floor to shake and items to fall and shatter onto the floor. It hasn't been this bad since the night she died. I knew what to do to make her leave since I've gotten used to it by now, but it seems like this is the only thing I still have to mentally prepare myself for. I close my eyes and take a deep breath and quickly get into a meditative state before opening the cabin door. "Your fault it's all your fault!" my dead mother screams in my face but for some reason she's smiling now. The banging the yelling the cabinet-slamming and the rattling continues for what feels like eternity,
and this time the noise only got louder, this all usually would stop once I faced her but something is different this time. . .
"Your fault it's all your fault! "
I stare continuing to keep a blank expression, knowing I can't let her feed off of my fear. The longer she screams the more she starts to frown. She's getting irritable, she wants to see me miserable. I continue to stare at her, now her face is contorted in pure hatred. Her smile is gone. "You little ingrate!" I immediately decide to take a step forward and she looks startled by my assertiveness. Seeing this I keep moving forward threatening her with my lack of fear.
"You killed me!, you killed me!"
I walk my way toward a close by cliff and she walks backwards not paying attention to her direction and only fixated on me. Screaming, doing her best to make me crack. Soon enough she steps off the cliff after accidentally slipping and falling 68 feet down onto a pile of rocks. I hear the noise but I don't register it as such I just keep my expression emotionless as I stare at her body as it is now, broken and bloody. I close my eyes and take a deep breath but once I open them I'm greeted by my mother's disassembled corpse in front of me with her cracked arms and dangling jaw. She screams. The noise is loud enough that it pierces my skull and makes me feel like puking. The banging and yelling, it never stops. "AHHHH!" I scream piercing my throat in the process. Ugh another dream of that night, I don't think I'll ever stop having these. . .
It's been 6 years since I've last seen her, these dreams are getting worse.
