Capulet, Paris, and a servingman enters
Capulet: Montague is under bond to keep peace as well as I, in penalty it is not hard I think, we're old and lazy so we will be pacifist
Paris: you both have an honorable reputation, it's sad you must hate each other for something that happened so long ago, but Lord Capulet, I want to marry your daughter
Capulet: my child, you know, my daughter which we speak of, is young. She is nineteen.
Paris: fourteen year olds are getting married in this century. She is old.
Capulet: innocent girls being married, unknown to the world's harsh realities, Paris, you can marry her I guess but my consent for you to do so mean nothing if she does not wish to marry you. I shall have a party tonight because parties. Servingman who can't read, read this list and find the people to invite them.
Capulet and Paris abandon this poor man
Servingman: *severely struggling to read and I'm not gonna bore you with that*
Nick to Matt: Burn ones fire with another ones burning. One's pain won't be so bad. Be happy instead of desperate. Love is life an infection in your eye and you won't be poisoned anymore when you ignore love.
Matt: bleeding is excellent to fix that
Nick: Are you okay?
Matt: stab someone in the shin
Nick: are you insane?
Matt: I'm not insane, I'm just stuck in a world that is atrocious
Servingman who appears out of absolutely nowhere: Can you read?
Matt: I know words and letters
Servingman: Yes but can you read?
Matt: Yes *he then sees Rosaline (the unrequited love) on the list* A party. Okay, uhh where?
Servingman: Capulet's house.
Servingman leaves
Nick: So you're in love with Rosaline. Well, she's gonna be there, you obviously have to go and make her jealous.
Matt: That's stupid, who would I make her jealous with?
Nick: I don't know but maybe there's someone there you could meet.
Matt: Fine, I'll go to the party.
Matt and Nick exit
