I am really sorry for not updating early. Got an exam I am preparing for and is coming up on April 29th so no time for me to be writing story but I just decided not to be lazy and stop keeping you guys on edge. Enjoy chapter one. Lots of love❤

Dipping my spoon into the sauce I made is what I have been doing for exactly 10 minutes. Don't blame me for cooking up a delicious chicken casserole,picking up my take away plate and dishing out the food inside it.

"Oh Shit! I am almost late for my job interview ." I cursed bitterly as I picked up my bag from the kitchen's counter and racing to the door, entered my car and drove to where my job interview will be taking place. Is still a shock to me to know that I will be meeting the interviewer  in an restaurant not in the office premises, I just pray I get this job because my bills can not pay itself.

"Hello, I am Ariel Davis I was instructed to come here for my interview by Miss banks. I hope I am in the right place." I gave her a small smile.

"Yeah! You will seat at the chair at the window side. I hope you are comfortable with that?" She did not even wait for my response before directing me to the seat.

"I am miss banks by the way, you relax and wait for Mr coppers to come and interview you. He supposed to here by the way. He was actually here yesterday by this time." She checked the watch on her wrist.

"I wish you best of luck. Excuse me!"

"Thanks" I mumured to her and she smiled I just hope that luck actually work for me. Kept checking my files in the hope I did not leave any important paper at home.

"Sorry for keeping you waiting, I am vaghun Cooper by the way" He extended is hand for a shake,  I got up and placed my palm on his and smiled.

"I am Ariel Davis" I sat back down nervously.

"What will you like is it cappuccino or Latte?"

"Cappuccino is perfect" He nods and signal the waitress over.

"Cappuccino for her and just get me Mocha, I assessed your review before coming here and it said you finished from Duke university with a business degree. Am I correct?"

"Yes Sir."

"Tell me the reason why you want to work as my PA"

"Firstly, I am not going to make promises that I will be perfect because everyone is not perfect but I promise to do my best and  never disappoint you." I said,sipping the hot coffee and watching his expression. Mr Vaghun is a handsome man and has those blue eyes that will make any girl to give him a second look again.

Checking his left hand I saw the wedding ring sitting on his finger, is funny I just noticed that he is taken I immediately killed the girl's hormone inside me.

"I love your genuine response, I can't wait to start working with you" He passed my files to me and stood up. Extending his hand for hand shake, I got up and placed mine on it.

"Same here. Thanks for giving me this opportunity. You will not regret it"

"I hope so. Meet me at copper enterprises on Monday, 9am sharp. I hate tardiness. I have to go now but you can relax and finish up your coffee. Have a nice day Miss Davis."

"Same here Sir and Thanks again" He hummed and picked his bag from the floor and left without giving me a second glance.

I breathed in and out before breaking into a huge smile. Thank goodness I have a suitable job to keep me going.

"You are really luck to get this Job. He is on a good mood today. Don't get me wrong He is a very nice man if you don't give him stress" Miss banks whispered to me as if people can hear her even though she talks loudly. This a private place and is only the both of us here.

"Yeah I will get going now. Thanks for the services rendered. Good bye!" I picked up my bag and left her standing there. One thing I have learnt is not to talk about your boss because she may be a trap and I don't want to loose what I just got.

Pushing the restaurant exist door I made my way to my car as my phone started ringing.

"Hey mom, Guess what I got the job"

"I know you will get it You are a blessed child dear so are you already working now." I chuckled.

"Not now ma I will start this Monday. How is dad and Jackson by the way?"

"They are fine the both of them miss you terribly. When are you planning to pay a visit?" My mom is so persistent on me paying them a visit. I sighed as I reversed my car and sped up home.

"Soon mom, I am busy here. I just got myself a new job so I need to go shopping to look appropriate. Tell them I miss them too.

"Ariel you can't keep running away from your problems. Be a lady and face it up you are no more a small child, stop with all those pretense. Three hours drive to here is not to big to ask from you to visit your childhood home. When you are ready to be a woman call me." She hissed and cut the call.

Mom just don't get it I am really trying to be what she wants me to be but is hard to be that woman yet.

Drying up my wet hair with my towel I heard a knock on the door.
"Coming! Who can that be by this time." I opened my door and was enveloped by my best friend.
"Cara hope no problem?" She just shook her head and squeezed me more.

"Then why am I seeing tears on your face. Did anything happened between you and your boyfriend?" I led her to the the cushion and I sat down with one of my leg crossed on the cushion.

"Mom has breast cancer  and they had the fucking right to hide it from me. I noticed her in pains but if I just ask her she will just say is chest pain. Until I saw it myself on her bed side table" She bursted into another tears, I don't even know what to say I am short of words. Mom cara is just like a second mom to me. She is jovial,sweet,caring. She was part of the one that made me to move from my past. I can't loose someone so important in my life. My heart squeezed for my best friend and I.

I moved closer to her and open my hands for her. She threw herself at me sobbing
"Everything is going to be better I promise."

"Thanks, Forget about my drama. We are going to the club to celebrate your new job"

"How did you know?"
"Your mom told me even though she sounded upset. She is really happy for you girl, Get up girl let's get ready" She dragged my hand and led me to my room.

After like 2 hours of looking for the best outfit we concluded to one outfit.
I am wearing my short red gown,carrying my gucci bag and putting on smokey makeup with my comfortable 2 inches wedge.

I am totally ready to party tonight because I don't think I will have that time when I start my job.

When you enter any club you will know that you have entered one because of their sweaty body and the loud music playing in the back ground. I am not going to drink more wine and try not to sleep with any man not that I am slut I have only slept with one man in my life.

After one hell of a dance I left cara at the dancing floor to get a drink at the bar,after getting my drink I turned back and immediately I saw the man that changed my life forever standing with a lady in his arms, the glass cup fell and that caught his attention. He stared at me shocked and started walking closer to where I was staying.

I did not waste my time slammed the  bills on the bar table and sped away from my so called two years ago one night stand.
