"Happy Birthday, to you~!" Various voices sang the jolly song for the occasion, the celebrant in question looked around her surroundings seeing most of her small family and her group of friends,along with their cheerful and gleeful expressions.

A smile graced upon her lips as she felt her cheeks heat up from such attention received from the small crowd, even so she was already accustomed with them.

The maiden still feel giddy from their undivided attention,"Ok people stand back it's her time to blow the candles!!"Annita her friend came through the kitchen entryway carrying a two layered cake in hand, that was bedazzled with F/c sprinkles and six candles sitting atop of it.

Now placing the pastry i front of her,"Make a wish."Her mother said as she was holding a camera beside Y/n.

Closing her eyes, before blowing the fire out of the wax.

Jolting awake from her nap, as a ringing of the call bell being pressed in such a brash manner, causing the Y/n's once relaxed mood to be soured from the sound of constant ringing.

Arriving at the counter from their locker room, she was confused to see her colleague nowhere in sight, nonetheless she approached the man whom was in the other side of the counter, he stood there constantly looking around the place as he impatiently waited for the girl.

"Hi may i help you sir-"she spoke in a professional tone,his attention snapped at her as he almost looked relief to see her.

"Yes actually can you lead me to where the dictionary was located?" Ahh yes was it ever mentioned, the lovely woman here is working in a library, a two story building that looked a little run down, but looked pretty decent the overall exterior only adds to the aesthetics of the library.

"Oh sure."She agreed as she exited the counter now leading the man to his destination, after the last turn the maiden stopped walking as they arrived at the aisle where dictionaries are placed.Turning to the man as she gave him a small smile before turning her heel to leave.

Only for the stranger seize her forearm,pulling her harshly towards him,causing the girl to stumble on her footings,"Can you please let me go."Y/n demanded as her heart was beating profusely against her rib cage.

The man however was rigid as he was gazing down at her with such eyes,causing her to feel intimidated by his stare.

"Where is it?"

"What?"

"Don't play dumb with me, i gave her the money now give me what i want."

Prying herself from his hold as she rubbed her sore forearms from the pressure he had held unto her,"Look sir,i think there's been a mistake i can assure you,I wasn't inform about whatever situation you have."

"So if you're looking for something other than books, then you're in the wrong place."

The man stayed silent eerily silent for her taste,"Very well then."He said ominously before brushing past her,not even hesitating bumping on her shoulder.

'Tsk petty ass bitch'

Not long after she approached the door to switch the 'Open' sign to close, after inspecting every inch of the library whence the people that occupied it slowly left, to see if there was any trace of the man.

But thankfully there was none.

Y/n went back to the counter as she plopped herself down the chair before glaring at the person underneath the table,"Care to explain what's happening?"

The person sighed in defeat as she left her hiding spot,"Look I'm sorry to drag you in my problem."The female gave her a firm look to which she smiled sheepishly,"Again."
"What is it this time?"She asked once more as it has already caught her interest.

"Uhh-"

"Don't you dare lie to me, Rose."She was cut off with a warning from Y/n as she noticed how she acts when she tries to deceive someone.

The girl slumped in defeat as she look down on the floor feeling her friends gaze quite condescending, "I told him i sellweedandmysupliergotkilledtheotherday."
Rose said quiet out of breath as she spoke too quickly.

"You did what?!"Infuriated Y/n stood up and seized her collar which made the shorter girl shriek at the sudden reaction she received,"I'm sorry ok?!"She cried out as tears prick on the side of her blue eyes.

"He said he'll kill me if i lied."

"I don't want to die Y/n."

Letting go of the female as she paced back and forth coming up with a lot of scenarios of survival.

"As much as i want to help but this has gone so far!"She scolded the girl as she herself was almost drowning with anxiety upon realizing the man from earlier could come back and fulfill his warning when he finds out Rose has scammed him.

Worst part about it, is he saw her face and he knows where she works, "Was the guy you met, is involved with any type of underworld activities?"

She looked at Rose, only to be met with her silence and the noises of her cries,"No." Y/n said as she took her silence was an answer, the girl nodded as tears continuously streamed down her face.

"I'll be surprised if we survive this night." Was she said until the building's power got cut off.

Biting her nails was becoming frequent as of late,
As a result of such a newly acquired unhealthy habit, her once healthy nails looks like they've been sawed jaggedly. Her once straight posture slouched as she tried to make herself seem as small as possible on the corner of the dimly lit luxurious room.

Her eyes scanned the area for the up-tenth time, never seizing to be amazed by the design;
Golden embellishments on the creme colored walls, the bedding's of her bed is her favorite color. In satin, have they always known that fact from the beginning? A detail she never failed to notice. Which made her question it, did she ever mentioned it?

She couldn't remember, maybe?

Then again, they has always been with her always.

Shouldn't this be old news to her now?
