*this one's happier lol
*f/n= friend name

My friends dragging me to some indie band she claims to be in love with. Mental eye roll. I've decided to go with it. Who knows, maybe I could get something out of it.

F/n is on her way. I just finished putting on some light makeup. I was wearing a pair of fish nets under ripped jeans and a baggy t-shirt under an oversized flannel.

"Oh, y/n! You ready for the best night of your life?" F/n busted in the door.

"Yeah, I guess," I sighed putting on my boots.

"Come on it can't be that bad," she whined.

"Let's get this over with then," I replied pushing off the couch.

"That's the attitude," she laughed walking out of the door.

We got there almost and hour early and the line to get in was already half way down the block. This band that I've never heard of can't be that good.

Never mind.

One hundred percent take back every ounce of dread and doubt I had about this band.

This guy walked through the alley bringing in prices of a drum set. Oh my lord. This mother fucker was the finest person I will ever see. He came back out after putting it up and looked over.

We locked eyes. I couldn't look away. I don't know about him but I mean he didn't look away.

F/n waved her hand in front of my face to get my attention.

"Hello?"

"Sorry," I said embarrassed.

"Who we're you looking at?" She asked looking down the alley.

I looked back and there was no one there.

"I don't know," I shrugged.

We sat there and joked around for thirty minutes before the line started being brought in. I went and ordered drinks while f/n found an area by the the exit to stand. We would be ready to leave if anything bad happened. I found her with the drinks in hand.

Soon the show started and zoned out. I wasn't here for this persons life story. I zoned back in when people started screaming this dudes name. I looked on stage and there he was. He waved out at the crowd with a stupid grin.

He sat at behind the drum set and looked over at me. He was wearing the most shit eating grin I had ever seen. This boy just had to say the word and I'd do anything.

The way he moved while he played was hypnotizing. I couldn't take my eyes off of him.

I don't know how much time had passed but the lead singer started saying bye and the band started to clean up.

"You ready to go?" F/n laughed turning from some other person.

"Let's hang out for a little longer," I replied with a smile.

"Thought you'd be out already," she laughed turning back to whoever she had been talking to.

I turned to the door we were standing by and a head popped through.

"Come here," he said.

It was the drummer.

He wanted to see me.

This whole crowd.

And he wanted to see....

Me.

'Play it cool man,' I thought to myself.

"Hey, can I help you?" I asked.

"I'm Takumi Maki," he smiled sticking out his hand.

"Y/n" I smirked taking his hand.

"Wanna get out of here?" He asked smirking back.

"With you? I don't know I don't talk to strangers."

"We don't have to be strangers."

Fuck.

With that he took off running with my hand still in his. And I FOLLOWED. I would have gone anywhere with this man.

We ended up downtown somewhere. He took me through the back of this rundown building. It was abandoned. He led me up a few stairs and it opened into a sodden loft.

"Where are we?" I asked.

"Not far from (literally any store)," he nodded.

"Oh. How's you know about this place?"

"I found it one day on a walk. I like to come here after shows to live down the high," he said walking to where I think a window once was.

He sat down and let his legs dangle. I joined him.

"So, what brought you to the show?"

"My friend drug me to it," I shrugged.

That somehow led us into a whole conversation about our music tastes. We don't share much there.

The conversation kept taking different turns from there.

"So, how many people have you brought here?" I asked.

I wasn't trying to be rude but I was genuinely curious.

"Jealous?" He replied.

"No, no, no...." He cut me off.

"I'm joking. And your the only person," he smiled, "you're cute."

Hold the fucking phone.

What!

"Yeah, you're not to bad looking."

"Oh not bad. I'll take it," he laughed.

I laughed with him.

We sat there ccasionally flirting back and forth and getting to know each other.

— a few hours later -

"Shit. I left f/n. I gotta go," I said quickly getting up.

I left the building running and he followed.

I walked back in embarrassed. F/n was sitting there staring at her phone frustrated.

"Sorry," I said.

"I thought you were dead!" She exclaimed getting up.

"Sorry it was my fault," Maki said walking up behind me.

"I take you to a concert, which happens to be my favorite band, and you runaway with one of the members," she started.

I was so scared how she would react.

"You know, this is why I'm friends with you. I never know what to expect. You're always doing something crazy. You ready to go home?"

I fucking love her.

"Yeah. Bye," I waved to Maki as we made our way out

We made it home, f/n decided to just stay the night. Which was a good idea cause she was drunk off her ass.

I went started to change but as a took my jeans off something fell out of my pocket. I picked it up and I filed the price of paper.

'Don't be afraid to use it stranger' is what the paper read along with a phone number.
