There was a girl

One night

In a house

Without a light

She was alright

But needed a bite

But was afraid

Of the deep night

She did not know

Where to go

So into the forest deep

She slipped without a peep

Crickets chirping

Feet are hurting

With a tired sigh

Is that a distance light

Only a firefly

Wondering why

Asking the sky

Ready to cry

A bright light

A crashing sound

From distantly around

A quick flash

She runs earning a gash

To the road

Her eyes overflowed

Then she fell

With a shout and a yell

Then she awoke

To a nice warm home

The bright light

Of the end of night

To a window of snow

The caw of a crow

The smell of tea

And glowing white beauty
