Hiiiiiiiii!

I hope you're not sick of me yet because I can't seem to stop writing...clearly.

This story is going to be quite a bit different than my others in the sense that it's the slowwwwest burn of all slow burns. Definitely a friends, to best friends, to lovers story, but these two are going to take their sweet time getting there. That being said, it's sweet, and fluffy, and frustrating, and softrry to the max.

I don't wanna give too much away, but this story was also heavily inspired by a letter John Steinbeck wrote to his son when he was away at boarding school, and wrote to his parents saying that he was falling in love.

In the letter, Steinbeck says, "First—if you are in love—that's a good thing—that's about the best thing that can happen to anyone. Don't let anyone make it small or light to you". He finishes the letter with, "And don't worry about losing. If it is right, it happens—The main thing is not to hurry. Nothing good gets away".
