CHARLOTTE PETERSON WAS NOT AMUSED WITH HER HUSBAND AT THE MOMENT. The two were newly weds, Charlotte turned twenty one and was ready for marriage, Ben on the other hand at the age of 30 was not ready to be a husband and he still had problems adjusting to the roll. One of those minor problems was pissing off Charlotte and trying to use his goofy personality to cheer her up. Ben Peterson poked at his wife's belly trying to get her to loosen up. She rolled her still very sleepy eyes at him and knocked at the Millers door. "I still can't believe you woke me up at 6:00 am just so we could have breakfast with your pal." She grunted. "You're lucky I completely adore Sarah or I would've punched you in the face for waking me up so violently."
"Quit being over dramatic and hey you're the one who doesn't make me breakfast." Ben replied.
"You can make your own damn breakfast." Charlotte spat back. "I ain't that type of wife." The woman said in all seriousness, she knew her husband always found her southern accent 'sweet' and 'cute' so she tried her best for her words to come out as stern as they could.
"I know you ain't, sometimes I feel like you're going to murder me in my sleep." Ben laughed, placing another knock to the door.
"I've been considering it, maybe I'll be able to sleep until at least 10:00 on my day off of work." Ben let out a laugh, but little did he know his wife wasn't kidding around about it. "Maybe suffocation by a pillow." Charlotte hummed.
"Lighten up please, it's Joel's birthday and Sarah asked us to come over." Ben reminded. The front door swung as he finished his sentence and there stood Joel, his hair a mess and eyes sleepy full of tiredness. "Well good morning sunshine, haven't had your cup of coffee yet?" Ben teased as he walked in patting his best friend on the back. Charlotte followed behind greeting Joel. "Happy birthday Cowboy." The comment received a small smile from the man.
"Dad, where's the pancake mix?" Sarah Miller asked as the three adults reached the kitchen. The girl was digging through the kitchen cabinets.
"Oh was I? Yeah I was, sorry." Joel replied.
"I was gonna make you birthday pancakes, I swear." Sarah expressed disappointed.
"You know I don't really like pancakes." Joel replied going to pour himself a cup of coffee.
"I know you don't like them. It was for my benefit." Sarah stated. She was now placing eggs on plates. Charlotte stood and admired Sarah for a moment before placing a kiss on the top of her head. "Morning gorgeous." She then turned towards Joel and ordered him to pour her a cup of coffee.
"You take his mug." Sarah said turning towards her father with a glass of orange juice in her hand. "Vitamin C." Joel sighed before taking the glass and handing over his coffee. Charlotte didn't feel bad, she knew he was gonna get himself more coffee in the matter of seconds, so she took the coffee and a plate before heading to the table to sit beside Ben, who had already helped himself to a plate of eggs.
