(Kaeya and Diluc are in no way biologically related to one another. They are "blood brothers" and in Asian culture that just means they're close. They do not have sex with one another in the story I wrote.)

Kaeya and Diluc both enjoyed spending time with Aether, so much so that they started to find any excuse they could to spend time with him. They would fight over who got to sit next to him during meals and whose bed Aether would stay the night in, constantly trying to one-up each other in his presence because of their egos.

Amber came up with a plan and arranged a free trip to the hot springs in Inazuma for the three of them, under the guise that it would be a fun way to spend some time together one-on-one.

Unaware of her ulterior motive, they enthusiastically agreed. Both Kaeya and Diluc believed they would finally be able to spend some alone time with the traveler.

However, upon arrival, it quickly became apparent that there was more to Amber's plan than they thought.

The three of them were forced to share a room, much to Kaeya and Diluc's dismay.

As Aether arrived at the hot springs and entered the room, he was surprised to see Diluc and Kaeya facing away from each other with their arms folded. As if they were strangers, they barely acknowledged each other's presence.

It seems Amber tricked all three of them.

Aether was finally on his way back to Mondstadt. Normally, he would be enthusiastic about returning to a place he could call home.

However, every time he returned, Kaeya and Diluc would drop everything they were doing to see him. It was flattering at first, but soon became a competition between the two domineering men.

Kaeya greeted Aether as soon as he arrived at Mondstadt City's entrance. The typically busy Knight of Favonius had taken time off work early to welcome him back to Mondstadt.

"If it isn't my favorite honorary knight," Kaeya said as he approached with an eager smile. "I trust you had a safe journey."

Before Aether could say anything, Paimon began to lament about the dangerous creatures they had met on the way back home. "We fought Hilichurls all day, but it seems like they never go away," she sighed, shaking her head.

"But it's nothing we can't handle," the traveler added.

Kaeya smiled at both of them. "I'll take care of those Hilichurls. They won't cause you any more problems." Both the traveler and Paimon were shocked to hear this. They knew the Cavalry Captain had connections, but neither of them had ever seen him use them.

"After you've settled into the inn, why don't you join me for some wine tasting?" Kaeya suggested. "I know you're just below drinking age, so how about some Mondstadt apple cider vinegar instead? My treat. I know just the place." He reached down and took hold of Aether's hand with a warm smile.

The traveler blushed as he looked down at Kaeya's hand holding his own, then nodded in agreement. He didn't have any plans, so he didn't really want to say no.

Aether walked with Kaeya and Paimon to the inn to get settled and saw Master Diluc walking towards them. They all stopped, and the tension between Alberich and Ragnvindr was palpable as the pair looked at each other.

"Traveler, I had not expected to see you return from your journey so soon," Master Diluc said, his voice carrying a hint of surprise as he greeted them.

"I trust that you've taken care of all of your necessary business?" Diluc's voice was monotone as usual, but you could always tell how much he cared about others through his mannerisms.
