Y/n should have thought twice before dropping out of college to become a writer.
Her life should have been good, with a nice Business degree and an ordinary desk job. College wasn't even that hard, just a little time consuming.
But she left it for her wild fantasies. Now she pays the price of writing on Wattpad and praying someone would offer to pay for her work so she can finally pay her rent. This miracle took a year to happen, so she didn't really believe it when she got a email from a little game development company.
Dear Miss UnderpaidWriter,
Your work 'Winter Nights With You' has been well loved by our company, and we wish to reach out for a collaboration. We believe your style matches our company's concept of Dating Sims and Role play games and we hope we can work on a story together for our next release. You will be paid through royalties and commissions, but if you are willing, you may be accepted as a permanent employee at our firm.
We hope for a postive reply,TXT Developing Co.
So here she was, in her only decent sweater and the most formal skirt she could find from her closet of sweats, riding the elevator up to her future.
The elevator stopped at the 3rd floor, where two people got on. One boy was dressed in an oversized hoodie and sweat pants, bucket hair covering his dark hair, mask covering his face, and sunglasses over his eyes. Y/n tries hard not to judge him, as the other guy who got in judges her as well. This boy was similarly dressed, in a large t-shirt and loose pants. Blonde highlights peaked from his long black hair.
"Are you by any chance, Miss Underpaid Writer?" The normal one asks cautiously. "We work at TXT developing, and we heard someone like you would be visiting today."
"Yes sir." She bows politely, trying to hide her embarrasment at the nickname. "You may call me Park Y/n."
The boy grins, his small angular face lighting up. "I'm Beomgyu, one of the animators. Welcome to our company! We're pretty casual here at TXT, so feel free to loosen up, hm?"
She smiles weakly. "I would love to Mr. Beomgyu, but we can't be sure I'll be accepted for the job."
Beomgyu grins. "Oh I'm sure. All five of our employees were hooked on your story. This guy was the one who brought you up." He gestures to the fully covered man before them.
"T-thank you sir." She bows to the faceless person. "Your name?"
The elevator door's ding open, and the man wordlessly walks forward without a backward glance.
"Whats up with him?"
Beomgyu shrugs. "He seemed pretty excited to finally meet you though? Maybe he's shy."
She finds the idea oddly cute, and tries not to blush. Beomgyu leads her into the company, which was just one floor of a large table, a little meeting room, and the CEO's office. It was a small company, but it was a lot better than working in her one bedroom apartment.
