"With your soulmate, Shota Aizawa!" the nurse said
"Soulmate... I-I-I have o-one?"Izuku stuttered out much to his statement, he could tell the nurse was telling the truth.
"Yes, anyways, i'll leave you two alone now, bye~"The nurse said as she left the room.
A comforting and awkward silence engulfed them much to Izuku's preference but it seemed the other had other plans.
Sensing the awkward tension come, Aizawa couldn't stand it, having been so used to having dealt with a class full of noise makers as well as Mic's and Midnight's constant bickering, silence became something he couldn't bare.
"So who are you, kid?"Aizawa asked.
Izuku didn't reply.
"You talked just now, so i know you're not mute, give me a reply kid."Aizawa stated
"I'm- selectively mute..."Izuku signed
'Eraser should know sign language'-Izuku
'Sign language? The kid was talking just now though.'-Aizawa
Aizawa just sighed.
"What's your name, kid?"Aizawa asked
"Izuku midoriya, Recluse..."Izuku signed slightly wary
"You don't need to be wary of me, midoriya, i won't hurt you"Aizawa said
"I-I don't trust you!"Izuku screamed softly
"I wouldn't expect so. But that's what soulmates do, build trust, plus, soulmates already have an automatic connection through the soulbond"Aizawa explained
Izuku just hummed in response
Aizawa sighed again, communication was important but if one dosen't play their part, it won't work.
"Is there anything in particular you like?"Aizawa asked
"...quirks... I like to learn about... Quirks... I like... I like... Drawing...?"Izuku mumbled softly
Aizawa could barely make out what he was saying.
"Louder?"Aizawa asked sighing
"I like... To learn about quirks and i like to draw..."Izuku signed

It took a few months but Izuku eventually opened up, when he did, they clicked immensely. They had lots of differences and a few similarities, Aizawa was glad.
Izuku still refused to talk and would secretly do his work as 'unknown' the analyst
