Ciara sung and danced to the melody of Ashanti as she applied gel to her baby hairs, carefully swooping them with a toothbrush.
In a couple of minutes, her boyfriend, Damian, was going to pick her up so she could watch one of his matches. He was one of, if not the best boxer that came out of the Crenshaw District. She always wanted to see her man in action, but she couldn't because most of his matches fell on school nights. With her mom being strict, she had to be in the house and in bed at a certain time on Monday through Thursday. But, today was Friday meaning she could stay out as long as she pleased.
At least until 12:00.
A loud vibration of a bass echoing through a car could be heard in her house. She peeled back the curtains and saw Dame's car sitting in her driveway. She quickly checked her appearance in the mirror before spraying her perfume and grabbed her purse. She headed downstairs and noticed that her mom was asleep on the couch as the re-runs of 'The Parkers' was playing on the TV. She checked her purse to make sure the house key was in there before quietly exiting her house.
