self-distructive and scarily apathetic sadie novac does not believe in miracles, but the adrenaline rushing in her veins and the thrill of her feet hitting the ground comes close enough. the teen lives and breathes track, and running is practically wired into the mechanics of her disposition. and due to all the years she spent practicing she was fast, very fast.
running track had been her escape for as long as she could remember. throughout her childhood, it was always an outlet for when things got bad. when her father got sick and eventually died from a heart condition, and when her and her twin brother charlie were forced to move in with their loveless mother.
woodsboro wasn't as bad as she expected it to be, the first few years were rough but once the twins fell in with their friend group things started to get better, specifcally when sadie began to grow close with a girl, tara carptenter.
although the two were complete opposites, that didn't stop them from being the best of friends. tara was caring and compassionate while sadie was sarcastic and witty. but one thing the pair did have in common was their love for horror movies.
one month shy of charlie and sadie's 19th birthday everything changed. the towns known killer ghostface was back, and his first attack? tara.
sadie didn't scare easily, and she wasn't scared for herself, but she was scared for the life of her friends.
