When I remove my mask
what do you see?
A forgotten soul
that seems empty
Scars and bruises
and dried up tears
All showing memories
of painful years
Eyes of green
with specks of brown
filled with sadness
from all around
I'm tired of it all
the arguing and fights
That last far too long
deep into the night
No one truly pays attention
So I have to ask
What do you see
when I remove my mask?
