He took a sip of warm tea and turned on the camera to start the Livestream. He posted on social media and took another sip of the warm tea. He gave a small smile when he saw the numbers starting to grow.
"Hey..." he smiled and glanced quickly at the monitor where the children were sleeping. "I know it's been a while. Things have been crazy lately."
He read a few more comments and took another sip of tea.
"I'm fine, but I can't sleep. Avi had to go back to the hospital, and I ended up finding the bed too big." Mitch rolled his eyes with a smile. "I have decidedly become unaccustomed to sleeping alone."
He read a few more comments, ignoring those that were talking directly about Carter or complaining about Avi.
"We are preparing things for the next album." He responded to a comment. "The album is ready, so we are preparing the other things, in a few months you will have more news." He smiled. "No, I didn't leave the house and left the children alone, I'm looking at them through the monitor and I'm at home." He took another sip of tea. "Didn't we tell you? I thought we told you. Scott and I had a home studio built, that's where I am right now."
He read a few more comments and turned his head when he heard the door open. Scott entered carrying a package.
"What happened?" he asked ignoring the Livestream for a moment.
"Kelly is having a rebellious moment," Scott responded. "I was walking with him when I saw the notification. Where is Avi?"
"He got a call from the hospital and had to run." Mitch held out his arms to receive the baby, but Scott shook his head.
"If I stop rocking it, it's going to start crying," Scott muttered, looking at the screen where the messages were.
Mitch returned his attention to the screen and smiled.
"I'm sorry. Kelly is having a little mood."
"He looks like his godfather's son when he's sleepy," Scott replied smiling, smiling at the camera. "Hey, guys."
Mitch glanced at the screen as Scott walked circles in the studio.
"How is it going to be living so close again after so long?" Mitch read the question aloud and looked at Scott. "It hasn't been bad, we've helped each other... the kids love it." He looked at Scott again, seeing him straighten Kelly before turning his attention back to the screen. "When are we releasing new music? Hn..." he exchanged a look with Scott. "I don't know, in a few weeks. We still don't have set dates, but what I can tell you is that's definitely one of our most ambitious projects. We are doing a lot of things. We want you guys to feel what we feel and be part of this story it with us."
Mitch took another sip of tea as he read through the messages.
"The kids are doing great, they are so excited to be starting school soon." He smiled and heard a complaint, looked back. Scott was changing Kelly's position. "Have you tried singing to him?"
"I already sang an entire album." Scott shook his head and settled the boy again. "I also drove around 15 times with him, nothing makes the boy sleep."
"Bring him here," Mitch ordered taking another sip of tea and winking at the camera. "Let's see if I can get K-Ball to sleep."
Kelly shifted irritably as Scott passed it to Mitch, the tenor tilting his chair and propping his feet up on the table. He adjusted the boy carefully, Kelly whimpered trying to keep his head up.
"Are we almost able to hold our heads up?" Mitch teased and looked at Scott. "Please don't make me chase after you before the first full year, boy..."
He leaned Kelly on his shoulder and started rocking his body.
