3. let's Party

Ashley's pov:

"Come on Ash, we are already late" Lucy shouted and jumped out of her mother's car. "Bye" I said to her mother and followed the brunette slower.

Brian sure knew how to throw a party! I thought, judging by the huge amount of people that were here.

Outside people were dating to music, or drinking. Some also just sat by a fire chatting happily with their friends. I tried to ignore the feeling of feeling out of place and made my way to the front door, where Lucy was waiting for me.

"Hello and welcome, glad you made it!" A tipsy Brian welcomed us, and stalked already past us, to great more people. "Come on we survived another school year. Let's celebrate" Lucy shouted to make sure I was hearing her over all that noise and walked in the living room.

Inside she stopped Leon, Sidney and Kaitlyn in the kitchen with drinks in their hand. As they stopped us they yelled and waved us over. Lucy joined them immediately and I followed a bit unsure. Those were her friends not mine, even tho they would hang out with me I wasn't sure if they liked me or did it for Lucy.

"Hey" Leon shyly greeted my best friend. Kaitlyn and I shared a knowing glance that said "just admit you like each other". Everyone could see that Leon liked her and I knew for a fact that Lucy liked him back. She didn't told me but she didn't had too. "Here take this" Sidney said and handed me a cup. "What's this?" I asked. "Just drink" sid said with a smirk and watched me take a sip.

Immediately I coughed "Ugh what the hell is that?!" I asked disgusted "oh that's vodka mixed with energy" she said "that does not taste like energy" I spat "shit, I guees I took to much vodka" sid said sounding apologizing but we both knew she was being sarcastic.

"Yeah whatever I bet you forgot to put energy!" I teased and she smacked me. "I thought you need it. I've heard about the summer camp thing" immediately my mood dropped, being reminded of the stupid summer camp at home was terrible but my friends reminding me was even worse and honestly embarrassing. "Hey don't think about it, besides I don't think it's the end of the world. I think it's a great opportunity to get close to mother nature" sid said.

I snorted "or closer to death"
I took another sip of the disgusting tasting mixture

Somehow the more I drank the more it started to taste well. "Let's get another cup!" Sid said, dragging me along. "Yeah this time I mix the drink!" I joked, following her.

I was thankful for Sidney distracting me from camp, out of Lucy her friends, Sidney was the nicest and most open person.

"Hey Ashley! Lucy yelled after a while. Sidney and I had been stuck together pouring one cup after another down our throats. "W-what?" I asked tipsy. "A few of us want to play beer pong and my team needs another player" she said as she reached me.

I could tell she had a lot of alcohol but I wasn't better. "Hell yeah let's go" I said and glanced at Sidney "yeah I'm in" she said and followed us to a group of people. Leon was also there and Kaitlyn was already throwing one ping-pong ball in one of the cups. Everyone on her team cheered as the ball fell into the cup. "Were against Kaitlyn?!" I asked "she is a champion in beer pong" I whispered to Lucy, not wanting to boost her ego. "Pff we will be better trust me" she said and went next to throw the ball. She missed

"Fuck!" She cursed
"Yeah that's right you're all losers" Kaitlyn cheered highfiving one of her teammates. "Ashley you're up next" Lucy shouted.

I took one ping-pong ball and focused, sober I might actually would have a chance but who plays beer pong sober am I right? I focused for a few seconds and gently threw the ball. I hit it in one cup and my team cheered me on.

"Come on two more to go" Sidney cheered and watched a guy I didn't know throw a ball in one cup. "Yes!" I said.

Unfortunately Kaitlyn hit another ball, which led to both teams having only one cup left. "Come on Ashley your turn" Lucy said, facing me. "Me?" I asked shocked. One more cup to go and my team is counting on me? I sighed walking up to the table, feeling Kaitlyn triumphantly smirk on me. She thinks I will miss! I thought.

I shook of the thought about everyone's eyes on me and focused. Please God don't make me miss this one shot! I silently begged the lord and lifted my hand, eyes focused on the cup.

"Yessss we won!" My team started to cheer and I realized that I had won the game. Kaitlyn grin, immediately turned into a frown "what how?!" She yelled angry.

"Yeah that's right you lost!" Lucy shouted, hugging me from the side. "Don't worry Kaitlyn next time you might actually win" I jumped in on mocking her, watching her storm off. We continued, having a great time and drank other stuff.

Since it became to hot inside we joined the people outside by the fire. "Ohh they have appetizers" Sidney said with a smile and walked off. "Ohh I'm starving wait!" Lucy yelled and followed her. Now it was only Leon and I. I catched the blonde boy look after my best friend and smiled "you know she really likes you" i said. He looked at me confused "Lucy I mean" I said "what?! No we're just friends..." he said. After a short silence he asked "you think she really likes me?"

I laughed "Everyone knows she likes you man" I said. "But are you sure?" He continued asking. "Why don't you just find out. Take her to a private place and finally tell her about your feelings" I said.

Before he could answer Sidney and Lucy came back. "Uhm did we interrupt anything?" Sidney asked. "No" I said "hey uhm sid why don't you show me what appetizers are the best" I asked. "But I just came from the table..." she stopped, seeing my urgent stare and understood "yeah but I really like the shrimps and could use a few more" she said and followed me. I saw Leon mouth me a "how dare you" and winked at him, before walking away.

"So what was that about?" Sidney asked me as I took one of the mini sandwiches with salmon on. "Just giving the two of them a push" I said "you?!" She asked surprised "misses I don't do fucking love....misses I never will fall I love.....misses-" I stopped her "alright enough. Besides its not about me it's about bringing people together that are too stupid to realize that they like each other" I said with a smile "well works wonderful I suppose they are sure looking like they're in love" Sidney said, pointing to them.

Leon was looking at us helplessly. I sighed "fucking idiots" before I saw Lucy walk up to me. She punched me on the arm "that's for leaving me alone with Leon" she said after I yelled ouch. "And we have to go its getting late" she said.

I checked the time and almost choked on my food. "How the hell is it 3am?" I asked "I don't know but we have to go, before your parents will be suspicious and you need to sober up, before tomorrow morning" Lucy said.

"Bye sidney" I called out, disappointed that we had to leave already but tired as hell. I would be so in trouble If my parents would find out where I was, with who I was, how mich alcohol I had and that I disobeyed their orders.

Luckily I sneaked in the house without tripping or making noise, like people in movies do. And gratefully flopped into my bed. Two days were left, before I would leave my life behind to join a stupid summer camp...
