LIVING IN A TOWN LIKE Westport with rich people around you can change people, but it definitely didn't change my family, well, besides my twin brother and my older sister. When we moved over here, I thought I'd be the quiet kid in the back of the classroom that everyone stays away from, but turns out, I fitted in perfectly. I wasn't really popular at my last school, but that changed when I transferred here. As I walk down the stairs to the kitchen, I see my mom looking out the window into the backyard. A few moments after I sit down at the kitchen island, my twin Oliver comes down. "Mom, I've thought about it, and I refuse to participate in the school food drive on principle." Oliver says. He's been trying to get out of this food drive for a while now. "And what principle is that?" My mom asks him. "Westport homeless people have better stuff than we do. Nude Norman rides a bike that's worth more than our car. And when he does wear clothes, they're Ms. Halloran's cashmere hand-me-downs." Oliver says.
