"Can we hang out?" Olivia asked.

"Yeah, sure."

The two went down to the black lake. Draco leaned against a tree and Olivia laid out on the grass.

"Do you ever just feel like giving up on everything? Like what's the point in trying?" Olivia asked.

"Like no matter what you do it isn't good enough?"

"Exactly! Like you've tried everything that you can but can't figure it out."

"Are you talking about the curse on your family?"

"You know about the curse?" Olivia sat up to look at him.

"I heard you guys talking when you came to my house. What is the curse? I might be able to help."

"That's okay. Actually, you might be able to help. The old lady said to break the curse I have to fix something that is broken. I'm guessing that's our dad's friendship."

"So we have to get our dads to be friends again? How hard can that be?"

"My dad hates your dad."

"So that's where you got your hatred for me from."

"Yeah, I should've tried to get to know you sooner."

"About what you smelled in potions..."

"What about it?"

"Do you really not know who it smells like?"

"No. It doesn't matter anyways. I'm never gonna date anyone, especially if I have feelings for them."

"Why? That makes no sense."

"It's complicated."

"Everything with you is complicated." Draco sighed.

"Yeah."

Olivia laid down and closed her eyes. She felt someone lay next to her.

"How about we trick them into running into each other?"

"That could work. How about we write to each other over the summer and get them to."

"Okay."

"Why is this so awkward? We did better at becoming friends last time."

"Last time I wasn't scared of getting hurt."

"I'm sorry. I'm honestly so stupid."

"Yeah, you are. But so am I. How about we just start over fully? We don't know each other."

"Okay." They both sat up and were about arms length from each other.

"Hi I'm Draco Malfoy." He smiled and held his hand out.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Olivia Blake." She shook his hand.

Draco kept hold of her hand. "Lovely name."

It felt as if her heart was going to explode.

"Thanks I got it for my birthday." Draco chuckled

The two stared into each other's eyes.

Draco started to lean closer and Olivia panicked. She jumped up and cleared her throat.

"Wow! I'm suddenly so hungry! Let's head to lunch."

"Yeah okay." Draco wouldn't look her in the eye.

"Where have you been?" Cora asked.

"Down by the lake." Olivia grabbed some potatoes and plopped them on her plate.

"You skipped charms."

"I was hanging out with Draco."

"Oh, that's okay then. How are things?"

"They were doing better but I think I made them worse?"

"What did you do?"

"He tried to kiss me and I sorta jumped up and started rambling."

"I thought you like him. Why didn't you kiss him?"

"You know how my family is cursed, well my kiss is deadly."

"What? This was crucial information! You can't just not tell me this kind of thing."

"I hate it. He looked so heartbroken. I need to break this stupid curse!" Olivia yelled the last part a little too loudly.

"You're hilarious. Having good hair everyday is not a curse." Draco said, rolling his eyes.

She mouthed thanks to him, but he just looked away.
