Douma smiled at Y/N, his eyes glinting with amusement. tossing another handful of food into the water. "And what about you, Y/N? What brings you out here?"
trying to keep her tone neutral. She couldn't help but feel uneasy around Douma, especially after what she had seen earlier.

She was still trying to process everything that had happened since she arrived at the temple. She didn't understand why her parents had left her with a complete stranger, and she didn't trust Douma, no matter how friendly he appeared to be.
Douma seemed to sense her unease, and his smile turned into a smirk. "You know, Y/N, you're a very perceptive young woman," he said. "You seem to have figured out that I'm not exactly what I appear to be."
Y/N's heart skipped a beat. Did Douma know that she knew he was a demon? Had her parents told him? "I'm not sure what you mean," she said, trying to sound innocent.
"Oh, come now, Y/N," Douma said, his smirk growing wider. "You can drop the act. I know that you know what I am."
Y/N's mind raced. What should she do? Should she deny it, or should she admit the truth? She decided to go with the truth. "Yes, I know that you're a demon," she said, her voice steady.
Douma laughed, a low, sinister sound. "Well, isn't that interesting," he said. "Most humans would be terrified to be in the presence of a demon, but you seem to be taking it all in stride. I must say, I'm impressed."
Y/N didn't know what to say. She didn't want to anger Douma, but she also didn't want to appear weak in front of him. "I've seen a lot of things in my life," she said, trying to sound confident. "I'm not easily frightened."
"I can see that," Douma said, his eyes glittering with amusement. "You're a very interesting young woman, Y/N. I look forward to getting to know you better."
Y/N felt a chill run down her spine. She didn't want to get to know Douma better. She wanted to get as far away from him as possible. But she knew that she was trapped here, at least for the time being. She would have to be careful around Douma, and she would have to watch her back at all times.
