No POV

We begin this chapter with Luz and King downstairs once more, the latter drawing picture of a demon from one of his books, onto a notepad with a green pencil until he was finished and satisfied

King: "Yeah, yeah"

Luz on the other hand, was currently trying to copy the spell Eda had done, using her hand to make circular motions, but to no effect as she groaned in annoyance and frustration

Luz: "This is all she does. Why you gotta be so cryptic, Owl Lady?"

Luz then watched the video once more on her phone as King then approached Luz, hoping to get her to listen to his lessons now that Eda was temporarily out of the picture, blocking the phone with his notepad

King: "Hey, you know what's really cryptish? Let me tell you about the most Spine-Chilling Demon. smoochy-pie the Sweetie Baby!"

Lifting his notepad up, the drawing on it was revealed to be that of a regular fish with puckered lips and arms

King: "He's... He's a lot more threatening than his name implies"

However, Luz wasn't interested still as she then turned to the side, still focused on the phone

Luz: "Not now, King. I want to figure out this spell. But if I don't have a magic sac, what's the point? I'll just be twirling my fingers around unmagically forever"

King: "Why do you want to learn magic so bad, anyway?"

Luz: "I was a nobody back home. But becoming a witch is my chance to be someone"

By now, Luz had sat down next to King, a saddened look on her face as she looked to the floor and hugged her knees close to her chest

Luz: "Do you know what it's like to have no one take you seriously?"

Being asked this question, King looked away, a sigh escaping his...lips? His mouth before he spoke up

King: "If I help you learn that spell, could we finish our lesson?"

Much more happy, Luz nodded her head as she put her phone away

Luz: "Oh, yes, yes! You can teach me about demons all week if you help me learn this spell"

King: "Well, she said Witches used to do magic differently, so there has to be a way, right? And I have a theory"

As he said this, King had been writing and drawing on his notepad before turning it around to reveal a simple sketch of a small bottle, what appeared to be Eda, and the word 'Magic' underneath

King: "Every day, I notice Eda sneaking drinks of this special elixir, see? Then she always gets a boost of energy, see? I think that's where she gets her powers. And I know where to get some"

Luz: "Really?"

King: "Si"

Unable to contain her excitement, Luz then picked King up and spun him around

Luz: "Thank you so much, you're a prince!"

King: "King. I'm King"

Luz: "Right"

The scene then changed to show King entering Eda's bedroom, the only source of light coming from the hallway and the occasional lightning flash outside

King: "Now where could it be?"

Scanning the room, King laid his eyes upon the object of his search, a small, spherical bottle. Half-filled with a golden liquid inside with the top half of a tag that read 'An Elixir a day'
