~ dark forest of devils mountain ~

There's a myth every na'vi is told as a child of a clan that lives in the dark forests close to the devil's mountains they are said to have both black and white skin  sharp canines that they use to break the bones of enemies and ears much larger and more pointed unlike most Na'vi their ears were on top of their head instead of on the side but the most distinctive trait they had were their tails they were larger than the Omatacyina clan like an alligator tail and not flat at all with quills covering it they were told to be cursed by eywa well as others saw it but the Dracarys clan saw it as a blessing a gift from eywa for having such a deep connection to her and her children. Every year on the day the clan was gifted the blessing they held a celebration and that was where jake and neytiri was at the celebration of eywa's gift " Jake my friend it is good to see you I'm glad you could make it"  boomed a loud voice it belonged to their olo'eyktan dra'hoal he was dressed in the usual celebratory garb which was just a viper wolf skull decorated with feathers and fur as to make it look big and scary like a lions mane is what jake compared it to " I'm glad we could too I wasn't sure if the kids were going be able sit for that long"  Jake said laughing slightly at the end. After the Great War Jake had made a effort to thank all those who helped and the Dracarys clan was one but Jake being Jake ended up making friends with the olo'eyktan which lead us to now as a 10 year old neteyam with a 9 year old lo'ak and kiri  ran off to play with dra'hoal's 11 year old son wokan and his 9 year old daughter ni'awtu like many of their clan their skin painted in black and white wokan had many white blotches on his skin they almost made him look completely white but the usual stripped pattern on many na'vi kept it as a nice balance and like most of his clan a slightly defined shape of a viper wolf was placed on the middle of his head all na'vi of the Dracarys clan had something similar all in different places and shapes. Believing it was a way to differentiate between warriors and those who had no interest in such how ever there was one such na'vi they weren't sure of the olo'eyktans second child she was smart for her age showing signs of interest in becoming a warrior but she also took interest in the task of a tsahik that her mother did this confused everyone even more for the images on her were not one but two she did indeed have the same white and black skin tone though different then her brother. The white didn't take up as much space it was more even you could say, on her left leg from her foot to her knee it was white while on her right from the foot to her mid thigh it was black same with her arms on her right arm from her shoulder to her elbow it was white and from there it was black where as on her left her whole arm except for her hand was black her whole tummy was white the color stopping just where her neck and shoulder's meet swirling with the black that painted her back. That wasn't what people paid attention to it was the images on her face that left everyone in aw her whole face was black except for a blotch that took at least half of her nose and ran down to her chin on the left of her face just around her eye as if it was a scar was a crescent shape this was a sign of a great warrior one far greater than toruk makto and on the right of her face a heart right over her eye it looked like it was bleeding how the end trailed off like a tear down her face. The elders said it meant she would be blessed with two great loves since it was so big but when her mother asked what of the tail end of the heart they grew silent and sad quietness took over "yes your child will be blessed with two great loves but her first will be sad so sad her heart will not be able to heal not until she meets the one who can put the pieces back together"  that alone sent chills through the parents spine their daughter destined for a tragedy that would hurt her so deeply that nothing but someone they don't even know anything about can heal her. " children be careful " neytiri called out " oh bah let them play they will be fine" came a melodic voice " Kira oel ngati kameie" Neytiri said to the woman whose tummy looked like a balloon she was tsahik and dra'hoal's mate all in her path made way for her it was like she was parting the sea " oel ngati kameie neytiri I am glad to see you, tell me when will you stop greeting me formally we are friends after all"  Kira said nudging neytiri " I would but tonight is sacred and we are guests" neytiri said showing she had great respect for what was to conspire tonight " I am happy that you feel that way come I will show you around you are in luck the hunting has not begun yet " Kira exclaimed grabbing neytiri's hand and pulling her along both women giggling with each other " your mate she is with child yes" came an old sweet voice Jake turned around to see Ma'wae an elder and Dra'hoal's mother " um ha yes she is they will be our fourth and youngest I am hoping to have another girl" Jake told the older woman a faint smile on his face " mm yes eywa has blessed your family greatly but I can see a dark cloud coming to cover your light." She told Jake he look to woman looking for any sign she was joking and as he looked into her cloudy eyes he knew she wasn't joking " mother please do not scare the poor man." Dra'hoal told his mother looking to Jake in apology " no it's okay I'm sure what she's speaking is true please Ma'wae what can I do to protect us." Jake looked to the elder hoping there was something he could do to protect the happiness he had " Do not worry child tonight eywa speaks to me when you go hunting with the rest bring back a viper wolf's tooth and a cuirass crab give both to me and I will make a sacrifice to eywa I will bring you the ashes in a pouch on a necklace and you must keep it with you no matter what do you understand." Ma'wae told him starring him straight in the eye " yes thank you Ma'wae." Jake said thanking the woman then bringing the back of her hand up to his forehead this was how the clan showed great thanks something Jake learned when Dra'hoal had angered his mate soon there was a sound of a horn as everyone looked to the sky as the clouds began to part there in appeared a large red moon the light shining down and drenching the place in a pale red color Dra'hoal then walked to a nearby boulder he raised his left arm hand holding a sword made from bone and teeth he then raised his head and made a loud howl grabbing everyone's attention " My brothers and sisters eywa has deemed the time for us to bring her children back in to her embrace go give her what she seeks." Dra'hoal proclaimed he then let out another howl this time everyone joined in letting out their own howls even the children giving their own little howls the best their little lungs could when all was quiet all warriors men and women alike ran of mated pairs gave each other chaste kisses as they left wishing them good luck only those who weren't properly trained warriors stayed or women who stayed to watch their children or other's children the clan was very close in this way while the warriors went hunting those who stayed went to work preparing the different Sides and wooden bowls made months before while the children went of to the side talking and playing with each other " come on guys let's go before they notice we're gone." ni'awtu whispers to the other four " nini wait up your going to fast." Wokan said panting trying to catch up with the girl " come on wokan you're slowing us down." Came lo'ak bouncing up and down next to ni'awtu they had both come up with the idea to join the other warriors in hunting they would have been going out further if wokan and neteyam hadn't caught onto their plans first trying to shut it down but then allowing them to go only a bit away enough to still see the fires light kiri just went along cause she didn't want to be left behind " come on guys can we just get this over with I don't want to be out here for long." Kiri told them standing next to neteyam " ok ok I know a good spot for hexapedes come on this way." Ni'awtu said sprinting of into the right " and there she goes again tell me wokan how can you keep up with her." Neteyam sighed laughing a bit at the end " this is nothing you should see her while she's properly hunting she won't stop for nothing."
