It wasn't supposed to go like this.

I don't know how it even got like this.

one moment we were having fun and goofing around but now... now there's a pool of blood in the middle of the floor, one unconscious friend, and one more in shock, and so was I.

the silence was so loud.

it was deafening.

 everything was happening so fast.

everything felt hot but cold at the same time?

it felt like oxygen just disappeared from the world.

my chest hurt.

everything hurt.

AND I CANT BREATH.

"Elijah??"

I flinched at the sound of Silas calling my name. I didn't even realize I was in the passenger seat of our car; everything just got tuned out.

"Elijah, are you okay?" he says with worry plastered over his face.

no. I'm not

"yeah, yeah I'm fine"

"Are you sure? You're breathing heavy again."

I didn't even realize that. he held my hand and gently rubbed his thumb over mine, something he always knew would calm me down.

and it worked.

it always did.

And after he figured out I was alright, he went back to driving with two hands.

I looked in the back seat and, there was Isaac all bloody and bruised but he looked...oddly peaceful asleep.

Turning back around in my seat and laying my head on the car window I was about to go to sleep as well. I felt my eyes become heavier as I became more tired but-

Silas yelped in surprise and swerved the car as if he wasn't trying to hit something.

"what the FUCK was that"
