Have you ever wondered how the author Elisabetta Maria Dami created Geronimo Stilton? I have and so I got to know about the words from her own mouth :

For a while, I worked as a volunteer in a hospital, and it was there, almost by chance, that I invented Geronimo Stilton ... It was at the time when Patch Adams taught the world that children need to laugh to get better. So I started to make up funny stories in which the protagonist was a clumsy mouse called Geronimo Stilton. He would get involved in all sorts of entertaining adventures, full of funny events and twists in the plot, that children found really compelling.

From Italy to the World, Geronimo Stilton's stories have been translated into 49 languages and have sold more than 180 million copies all over the world since then.

Now my fellow mates say to me that buddy just grow up. Geronimo is for small kids. Even my father once told me so. I am right now 17 years old when I am writing this. But I still can read Geronimo Stilton books if I want to.

What is so special about them? First of all, I like how one gets into trouble and still happens to succeed in a good or bad way at the end of the book. Secondly, they are so fast to read which helps me save time, rather than reading big books. I am a bit of a slow reader. Thirdly, the illustrations are classic. 👌

Now it's time for me to tell you guys how I got to know about these books.

I was in 4th or 5th Grade, I joined Brain-O-Brain to learn abacus. I did only till 6th level out of 10 but I bagged 2 Gold Medals in that period, one each for Abacus & GK. When I joined the classes, my teacher told my mother to let me read the Geronimo Books and she also lent me one of her daughter's G.S. Books named Rumble in The Jungle which is the 53rd book of the main series. And that's how my journey began. I sincerely thank her that she opened the doors of my bibliophilia.

Till now G.S. Main Series has 80+ books. Also, G.S books spread into various spin-offs or side-adventures series like:

1. Geronimo Stilton: Special Edition with 7 books

2. Geronimo Stilton: Mini Mystery with 6 books

3. Geronimo Stilton: Anniversary Edition with 2 books

4. The Kingdom of Fantasy with 16 books

All the Geronimo's adventures in the magical world are part of this series.

5. The Kingdom of Fantasy has also its own 2 special edition books

6. Cavemice with 15 books

7. Spacemice with 12 books

8. Heromice with 11 books

9. Micekings with 8 books

10. The Journey Through Time with 8 books

11. Classic Tales with 12 books

12. Graphic novels, etc.

Wait wait, did you guys think that's all? Well, you are definitely wrong!

Creepella von Cacklefur books translated by G.S. ( 9 books )

Wait wait, Geronimo has a sister too Thea and the books written by her separately are:

1. Thea Stilton Main Series with 37+ Books

2. Thea Stilton: Special Edition with 9+ Books

3. Thea Stilton Mouseford Academy with 20+ Books

4. Thea Stilton and the Treasure Seekers with 3 Books

5. Classic Tales with 3 Books

6. Graphic novels, etc.

I hope you find peace reading my tribute to G.S. Family Books. And I also hope you will now start reading them if you haven't yet or will return to read them and have a wave of nostalgia through your mind. And who doesn't like shipping Geronimo Stilton & Petunia Pretty Paws?

I bid my readers goodbye, and read some pieces of stuff till I return with another chapter! Ciao.
