As John's illness progressed, he started to feel the physical effects of his disease. He was in constant pain, and he struggled to do the things he once loved. He had to give up his job, and he spent most of his time in bed. He knew that death was coming soon, but he couldn't shake the fear and sadness that consumed him.

His wife and children did their best to support him, but John knew that they were also struggling with their own pain. He didn't want to burden them any more than he already had, but he couldn't help feeling guilty for the pain he was causing.
