Rumer woke up one morning feeling an empty space next to her. Val's side of the bed was empty and the blankets were thrown askew. She got up and wandered into their living room. Anastasia, their daughter, was sitting on their rug playing with her toys. Rumer picked her up and brought her to the kitchen, where she saw Val standing in a mess of cooking utensils and food. "Good morning babe, I tried to make you guys breakfast, but it didnt turn out the best." Rumer laughed and kissed him. "Thank you Val, but what for?" she asked, confused. "You really dont know?" Val said. "It's mother's day. It's the first one you have ever celebrated being a mom so I wanted to do something special." Rumer smiled. "That's really sweet, Val, thank you so much." she kissed him again and they went back to "cooking" breakfast together.
