Reversal of The Heart

☆A/N : This oneshot contains violence, injury, needles, and hospital themes and imagery.

I tugged at the binds that held me against the bed. The panic filling my chest felt almost suffocating, my wrists rubbed raw as I tried to escape. I yanked on the fabric, creating a small gap, though not big enough.

Why did they have to tie these so tight?

Beads of sweat slid down my head as I gritted my teeth, trying again and again to make it just big enough for a weapon. The bed knocked into the wall, shaking with every move I made.

What if I failed, what if I never see him again? What if-

No. I can't be thinking like that now.

I need to get to him- I can't let-

My eyes darted up, expression dropping as the loud scraping sound pierced my ears. I felt my heart drop, the dark magenta beam slowly sliding down through the hole in the ceiling, bits of plaster following behind.

It stopped for a second, a grinding sound coming from the metal as it bent, tilted down towards me.

Only then I realized I was screaming before it all went black.

I squeezed my eyes shut, everything growing silent around me. I opened them slowly, peering through the darkness. My eyes darted through the inky black, small crystals floating around me, glittering pink hues as light passed through them.

Wait-

My feet hit the floor, walls being built up around me, towering infinitely high.

I know this place...

I spun around, eyes locking on a figure standing on the other side of the room, right in front of what looked like a door behind them. They grinned, sadistic and cruel. Plants grew around the two of us, ferns and trees stretching to the ceiling as the room became just as it had been before.

C/Y/N snickered to themself, blade in hand as they raised their head to look up at me. I backed up, only being met with a thump. I turned around, eyes now locked with their onyx ones.

Their smile grew much wider.

"Aww, how precious. You're just a cute little thing, you know that?" They asked, watching me take steps away from them.

"S-Stay away from me!" I shouted, "Let me live my life!- let me-"

"But that wouldn't be any fun..."

I froze, "At least leave Cubic alone then! Please- H-He's been through enough!" I begged, tears welling up in my eyes.

They got right up to my ear, a shiver being sent down my spine as they whispered.

"Me and him are going to have so much fun together, don't you worry about a thing, Y/N." They purred.

Before I could protest, they were walking away, steps ahead of me. The door was open now, letting out a lustrous glow through the entire room.

I tried to catch up, reaching out desperately as I let out a cry,

No.

NO.

They took one last look at me as the door shut, leaving me alone, in the dark. I dropped to the floor, tears rolling down my cheeks as I was left to wonder what would happen, left to wonder if they were just playing with me, or if they were actually going to hurt him.

Don't hurt him.

Please.
