Wind swirled and flowed from the power of Bobs flapping against the sky. Fresh wind pierced his eyes and brought slight tears to them. He felt alive. Duath screamed shrilly as he dangled from Bobs claws; every turn an opportunity for him to fall on to the jagged rocks of no-mans land below. Bob teased him by flying dangerously close to walls of rock. Bob seemed to be enjoying this to much. Smiling Bob executed a purposefully shaking landing into the mouth of a cave.

"God!" Said Dauth shaking from his near death experience of flying with Bob "Are you trying to get us killed!?"

"Not us. You." Said Bob factually.

Duath grumbled and walked into the small hollowing of the cave.

"Wow. This is really small. How are we supposed to live in this?" Duath said complaining as per usual

"It's just to start us out. We can find something bigger later. If we didn't get out of that other cave we would have been found for sure." Bob said

"Maybe if someone didn't leave a massive trail through the forest by smashing trees like a madman we could have stayed there." Duath said, neck outstretched and arms crossed

"Hey! Not my fault your so heavy!" Bob said deflecting the blame onto him "Give me a break! It's just because your wimpish!" Duath said infuriated he wasn't getting his way.

Dauth put his scaly palm on his forehead "Maybe we shouldn't have left..." "Maybe we shouldn't have strayed from the paaaath...and loved and cared and shared mooooreeee..." Duath sang shakily, hands clasped to his heart looking dramatically at nothing

"I swear to god Duath, if you turn this into a musical I will skin you alive!" Bob yelled throwing his hands in the air

"Geez... Just trying to lighten the mood... But seriously, I am starting to regret leaving..." Duath replied.

Bob responded looking at the ground stroking his small green wisp of a beard (or three beards) well thinking. "We do need some one on the inside if we are going to take them down... " Suddenly he perked up looking wide-eyed at Duath

"Wait a few days until the search dies down and then we can begin our strike. With you on the inside"

"What do you mean?" Said Duath puzzled

"You can rejoin the group and tell them that we left to hunt and you lost me. That way you can go out at nights 'looking for me' and you can feed me info about them." Bob excitedly responding

"What sort of information?" Said Duath questioning him further

"Locations, future travel plans, weaknesses, strengths... That sort of thing." Bob said divulging into his plan

"Then... Once we have enough information we can strike!"

"Alright. So what should we do until then? Just sit here and stew?" Duath said "No. We have to hunt. If we don't we'll starve." Bob said.

Duath nodded and they ran into the forest. Crossing around trees and dashing through the grass made them feel alive. A deer gently grazed in the open meadow. The two looked at each other. Running Duath jumped on top of a rock and aimed his dagger at the deer.

Eyes wide the deer backed away. Behind him was Bob. Bob slashed his claws at the deer's stomach. The deer tried again to futility stumble away. Dauth grabbed the deer and looked it in the eye. Pure terror and innocence filled its eyes. Dauth looked at it harder studying the helplessness of the creature.

"Cowardice." He said to himself.

Raising his dagger he thrusted it toward the creature. It closed his eyes. He hesitated for only a second as he plunged the dagger through his neck.

"Dinner is served." Said Bob with a smirk on his face.

Back at the cave Dauth sat a fire as Bob skinned and harvested the deer. Later in the night as they sat a round the fire, Dauth remembered the eyes of the deer when he sunk his teeth into the chard flesh of the animal.
