blood poured from the open wound in their leg.

they lay on the floor, unmoving.

were they dead?

...

...no.

not yet.

but the pain that soared through their body made them wish they were.

the large gash ripped through the skin and flesh of their leg easily, the red liquid seeping into the carpet, staining it.

it hurt.

so much.

lights blared around them, flashing quick enough to give one a seizure.

it hurt their eyes.

so they remained closed.

their was a constant loud ringing in their ears.

it hurt their ears.

they couldn't give up here.

she wouldn't let them.

no one would love them.

no one would care for them.

...

...they wanted her to adore them.

become her beloved.

become the loved one of everyone.

so death would be but a hindrance.

just a touch.

"please..."

their voice strained, pushing to be heard.

but the lights continued flashing.

the rush and cries of people continued.

many stepped over them, hurrying to the exit.

blood splattered everywhere.

onto them.

onto her.

...she was dirtied.

her beautiful face.

her beautiful smile.

they would do anything for her.

they couldn't give up now.

she would hate them.

so, so much.

they pulled themself up, ignoring the wild screaming from their body, from the wounded leg.

it would bother them later.

as they stumbled across the hall, people shoved past in a desperate reach to get out.

they, however, were heading in the opposite direction.

because that's where she was held.

they would never take her away from them.

they wouldn't let them.

that's unfair.

they loved her.

they wanted her to love them.

they wanted everyone to love them.

but her.

her in particular.

she was their everything.

and no matter the cost.

they would do anything.
