Peeking an eye open, I was instantly blinded by a cyan-blue light. Wincing, my eyes fluttered open, adjusting to the bright glow. Once my vision was restored, my breath hitched. Through the bright cyan light that surrounded me stared Silver. His eyes reflected mine as we stared at one another. His hand reached out, his telekinesis power radiating from the palm of his hand. He remained silent as he stared at you.

Despite the roars from the dragon flying above, he slowly lowered us onto the ground, his powers disappearing the moment our feet touched the cracked street. His quills were slightly raised, ears twitching.

"ROOKIE!" Looking over behind Silver, Sonic rushed toward us, flashing before you in a blink, "That was quite the fall. Lucky Silver was there to save you, right." He nudged the silver hedgehog on the arm, drawing Silver's attention to him. Crossing my arms, I jutted my hip out, my nose wrinkling at the distasteful nickname. And Sonic's distasteful clothing style. For the past couple of years sonic has been doing this whole shirtless routine with dark jeans. Honestly, I found it rather exposed, especially for the line of work, but I'm sure other Mobian's love it.

"It's (Y/N). And I'm fine," I said, brushing a handful of fur back into place, "for the most part."

Silver and Sonic's heads swung toward me, both in pure shock. Stepping back at their sharp movements, I gritted my teeth at the odd feeling of hands pressing against my cheeks, matting my fur. Sonic beamed, his hands pressing firmly against my face as he excitedly gazed down at me. He was bouncing in place, energy radiating off him.

"You just spoke!" he screamed, his voice ringing in my ears. Grabbing his wrist, I tried to pry his hands free from my face, but to no avail. Even after years of working hard, it was kind of demoralising to remember just how weak I truly was.

Pathetic

"Can you let go?" I muffled, words pressed together as the blue hedgehog continued to press my cheeks inwards. Silver gently pushed the blue hedgehogs hands from my face, his eyes never leaving mine.

"Good to see you," he spoke, a small smile growing on his face.

Screeches from above shortened the reunion, adverting our attention back toward the issue at hand.

"What is that thing?" I quizzed, watching as the beast hovered above, circling like a vulture.

"It's a Nega Dragon," Silver sighed, his hand pressing against his neck as he rubbed the muscle. He closed his eyes for a brief moment, his neck muscles flexing as he tried to loosen its tension. In that moment, I couldn't help but notice how different he looked. His body was slightly more muscular than the last time we met, but not to a sickening degree. It was just enough to draw my eye toward his clothing. It was simple but damn did it look great on him. White button-down shirt, his chest furs fully on display, dusty denim jacket and black ripped denim jeans. Compared to your black boots, jeans, and (F/C) crop top, he looked so much put together. Shaking my head, I tore my gaze away, struggling to remain focused on the dragon above as Silver continued, "It's from the future. One of Eggman Nega's inventions, if you couldn't tell by the name."

"Speaking of the future," Sonic rubbed his chin in thought, "how did you get here?"

With a shrug, Silver lowered his gaze, "my guess is as good as yours. I was just doing my thing before whoosh, I was here. Despite that being over a month ago, clearly, it's still happening. Random things from the future are transporting to here." With a flick of my tail, I stepped forward, catching the two hedgehog's attention.
