Chapter 5

A week later, Grace was checking the notice board. In cafeteria, Prince was having his lunch while talking to his new friends Morris Hayes and Anthony "Van" Jones about the school and other things. Grace hugs Prince and kiss on his cheek and say

Grace - Oh Prince I'm so proud of you, I knew it you would make it.

Prince - Grace I have told you countless times that don't do this in front of everyone (irritated and annoyed tone)

Eddie, Chris, Michael and others see Grace, Prince, Morris and Van. Grace say

Grace - I just saw the notice board and guess what I saw

Prince - I don't know.... You saw it so you will only know

Grace - I saw the list of the basketball players.... You made it in the team as the captain of the team (cheerfully and joyfully)

Prince see Grace shocked 😲 and ask

Prince - Me?!.... The captain?! (disbelief tone)

Grace - Yes (nodes her head happily with a huge smile 😊)

Van - Who else made in the team? (curiously)

Grace - Eddie, Anthony, Jayden, Paul, Braison, David and Zack.

Morris - Michael didn't make it, he played better than Braison

Grace - Michael is clumsy

Prince - I accept with Morris.... Michael played much better than Jayden and Braison but if Mr. Jonas has added them then he would have his own reasons.

Van - When is the first practise?

Grace - Day after tomorrow at 4:30pm

Michael - Congratulations Eddie (seeing Eddie happily 😃)

Eddie - Thanks (smiling 😀) but I am sorry that you did not make it.

Michael - It is very much okay. Either way I wasn't interested in it, now I can care freely focus and do the tuitions

Few weeks later, in the cafeteria, Grace was shouting at Prince angrily but he was completely ignoring her.

Grace - PRINCE WHY THE HECK ARE YOU AVOIDING ME? WHY DON'T YOU LET ME TOUCH OR KISS YOU. YOU COMPLETELY STOPPED SPENDING TIME WITH ME

Prince see Grace and say

Prince - I do not like you even a single bit

Grace - Does this mean you are seeing someone else behind my back?

Prince - I am not comfortable or interested in you in any way. You forced me to do things which I don't like to do. You came to me out of nowhere and made me as your boyfriend. I never even saw you as my friend and no I'm not seeing anyone behind your back. You know what Grace let us just end it here for good

Grace - I dump boys not the other way

Prince - Listen to me carefully Grace.... I'm dumping you right now and right here

Grace - Then why the fucking crap did you spend time with me in the first place?

Prince - You never left me alone even for a bit so I had no other choice than accepting it. Let us go guys!

Morris and Van follows Prince out of the cafeteria. Morris say

Morris - Awesome dude, no one has ever dumped Grace in front of the whole school

Van - Good thing I didn't date her

Prince - Good thing I dumped her too, she was going out of limits. She almost forced me to kiss her last week

Morris - What is your next plan dude? (seeing Prince)

Prince - Just focus on the upcoming game

Chris enter the library and went back of the library to his friends and sit beside them. Chris say

Chris - Thank God Mike you didn't date Grace

Michael - What? (seeing Chris confused 😕)

Chris - I just came from the cafeteria and I saw something I won't believe it rest of my life

Eddie - Why? What happened? (curiously 🤨)

Chris - Grace was using the boys she used to date. Prince dumped her in front of everyone in the cafeteria

Eddie - Wow that is something (surprised).... Good thing you did not date her Michael (seeing Michael)

Michael - Yeah (nodes his head) Eddy when is the first match? (seeing Eddie)

Eddie - Two weeks later

Chris - Which school?

Eddie - Holy Angels

Michael - Starting match is going to be difficult and tough to win

Eddie - We won't be out of the game even if we lose and don't worry Mike, we will surely win this game

Michael - I know that.... When is your next practice?

Eddie - Today after school. You guys can come and see it

Chris - We will surely come

Michael - Let us go to our classes before the bell rings

Eddie - Yeah, let's go

After school, Chris and Michael goes to the gym class and see Mr. Jonas showing a game plan. Chris and Michael sit on the bence with Morris and Van. Michael kept seeing Prince and hear Prince say

Prince - Eddie pass the ball to Jayden, don't risk it

Eddie did as Prince told him. Van say

Van - The team is in good form

Morris - If they keep this up, surely we will win this year's matches and the trophy

Chris - They put good players as captain and vice captain

Michael - I hope we win Holy Angels. Last year we lost to them very badly

Morris - Don't remind us about it, it came on the local newspaper

Van - For weeks none could go anywhere without fear of being teased or made fun of

Michael chuckles and say

Michael - I couldn't stay in my own house because my siblings kept teasing me all the time (smiling 🙂)

Chris - I moved to my grandparents places until the school got reopened

Van - That was a good shot Prince

An hour later, Mr. Jonas say

Mr. Jonas - Ok boys (seeing the basketball team) let us end this practise here for this evening.... Tomorrow we will meet at 9am and we will practice until 6:30pm, everyone can go now

Eddie got changed and meet his friends. Michael say

Michael - You played great

Eddie - Thanks Mike.... Shall we go and grab something to eat?

Michael check his watch ⌚ and say

Michael - Sure, I still have time to go to Maggie's house

Morris - Come on Prince and Van let us go and hang out in my place as my mom is working late today, tomorrow and day after tomorrow

Prince - Say that you're scared to stay alone (jokingly)

Morris - I'm not scared of anything (smiling 😃) I just wanted to hang out with you both

Van - Let us go as they are going to lock the school in few minutes.
