Lilly Potter hated her daughter. When she was born, she was always stealing her husband's attention. At a time, she didn't hate her, but Lilly just did. So, when Harry was born and he defeated Voldemort, she had convinced James that Harry needed more attention.
Lilly was not going to let Blair ruin her life she has. Thats why when everyone had been distracted at the graduation. Lilly had snuck into the potions classroom and stolen a potion that was locked up.
A memory seeing potion. (I made that up) Lilly had grinned when she had seen it. Lilly was smart enough to know that a spell like Blair used to bring someone back would take killing someone, and once Regulus saw it Blair would lose him.
Lilly had sneaked the potion in one of Blair's drinks. And Bliar being distracted enough didn't even notice.
And that had given Lilly enough time to look through Bliar head for that memory.
