DAPHNE: I found myself in the same place I was just a little while before, excited when he dropped into the studio, hoping he'd hear my voice and come in while I was recording demos. Hoping he'd come see me.

My thoughts were consumed, this was infatuation with someone I couldn't have.

BILLY: I wanted to be around her. I wanted to sing with her and I wanted to write with her.

I... [Pauses] I wanted... Can we stop for a second?

DAPHNE: We couldn't have eachother so we wanted to torture eachother. That's the way I saw it.

BILLY: I was starting to understand that it would be easier to hate her.

I tried to [shrugs]. But we talked about a lot of things the night Tyler was arrested... It made it hard.

DAPHNE: Time came for us to do the album with Daisy. I drove the both of us to the studio, I knew Billy would've already had a slate of songs ready and the both of us agreed that wasn't going to fly.

The boys checked her out, so she checked them. Told them right off.

BILLY: She reeked of alcohol.

KAREN: Daph and Daisy really opened up the sessions. We were more than just an arrangement to Billy's songs.

BILLY: The songs were all written and ready to go, I was unsure as to why the girls took such issue with it.

I could not have been nicer.

——

"LET'S PLAY THE NEW ONE FOR BEER AND DAISY," Billy threw a guitar over him, the rest of the bandmates hesitantly proceeding, "I think you guys'll really dig it."

"Let me guess," Daisy paused, "It's about your wife and the rain."

"She was sunshine out in the midnight rain," Daphne hummed, pretending to vomit after.

——

WARREN: [Laughs] Oh my god.

EDDIE: I think it was called She's the storm. Seriously.

BILLY: [Takes breath] Actually, it was called Come In With The Rain.

——

"IS THIS FUNNY TO YOU?" Billy's eyes darted straight to Daphne. She tilted her head at him, the biggest death stare of her life.

Most of the band had taken a seat, Daphne noticing one lonely chair across the room. Why drag one when she could find a seat in Eddie's lap?

"Dunno man, like Daisy said... it's not just your album," She answered as Eddie threw an arm around her as the band started to throw ideas above Billy.
