They say first love never dies,

Something that Dahyun's convinced is hardly debatable.

But if it never dies,

Then why the hell is her ghost standing right in front of her?

Ghost. Precisely.

Because this woman literally ghosted her four years ago.

Deliberately, Minatozaki Sana begins to walk towards her before stopping just a foot away from where Dahyun was standing.

"Hey" She casually greeted the Korean girl.

"What... are you doing here?" Dahyun asked, staring at her.

"Is that how you welcome foreigners here?" Sana playfully answered but Dahyun just stared at her, and that made her clear her throat. "I'm sorry"

"Why…" Dahyun paused for a moment, "...Why are you suddenly here?"

"...College" Sana bit her lip anxiously, careful with words. "...and you"

"Sana… Do you think this is some sort of a joke, Sana?"

"No" The latter was quick to shake her head, "Dahyun, I really am sorry–"

"I'm getting tired of hearing that"

Dahyun wanted to feel guilty for acting cold toward the Japanese girl,

But she couldn't help it.

After that four years since she fled,

After four years of all her built-up frustration and heartbreak that she went through…

She is honestly surprised she didn't burst out right there in front of the Japanese girl.

"It's too late, Sana"

Hurt was apparent in those light brown eyes when she heard that.

"...Too late," Dahyun muttered.

Then the bell rang,

Saving both Dahyun's words that have been dying to bring out,

And saving Sana's tears that are battling to let out.

Is it really too late to mend the crack?

Too late to fix the damage?

Is it too late to go back?

Dahyun doesn't know how this final school year will turn out,

She thought this will finally be over,

Getting a degree from college,

Move out,

And move on from the past.

Yet here she is, coming back to Dahyun's life as if nothing happened for the past four years.

Was she just running in circles all along?

A/N: As I promised, here comes my new fanfiction for my dear readers!

I decided to publish this as I fear this will just be thrown out once I forget.

So I hope sprites will join me as we ride this rollercoaster of Saida as ex-lovers reuniting.

Also, I am very much thankful to @dropsofchae for creating the fantastic book cover for this book! It was funny how both of us kept thanking each other lmao.

I legit love the book cover T-T.
