Noor scanned the horizon long before daybreak. He had been waiting for this moment for a long time, as it was time for him to face the last and most difficult part of his training: the ascent of one of the mountains in the Anti-Atlas. He had chosen Jbel Sirwa, the highest point in the Anti-Atlas at an altitude of 3304 meters. Even though he had slept little that night, his fatigue didn't matter because he was determined and eager to start. Noor, a native of the plains, had always dreamed of climbing these mountains covered in snow all year round. Although the peaks of the Grand 8 fascinated him with their altitude of over 8000 meters, for now, he had to focus on surpassing the 3000-meter mark. He had already climbed some peaks such as Jbels Lekst (2357 m), Aklim (2531 m), and Saghro (2712 m), but nothing too extravagant in light of his ambitions.
