Pan had a soft smile on her lips as she stood in front of the cafe door. The sky was dark, and after it had rained so heavily, there were little puddles everywhere.

Picking out some keys from her pocket, she proceeded to open the cafe' and walked into its warm interior. Turning on the lights she walked over to the counter and a small gasp escaped her lips when she saw her purse there, exactly where she had forgotten before closing up earlier.

Picking it up, the girl then walked over to a rack of towels, picked one of them up, and walked over to a table, cleaning some dust off while she waited for her co-workers to come.

Since it looked like it might rain again tonight, there was a possibility that they wouldn't have so many customers.

While Pan was busy cleaning the tables, she heard a ding from the door and turned to see who walked in, and a smile forms on her lips on seeing Yuqi. The girl was more smiley than ever.

"Hey, Pan! I'm sorry I didn't come this morning... my girlfriend was free today so I spent the day off with her" Yuqi informed and Pan smiled nodding a little.

She didn't mind.

She knew that time with soulmates was important, both for mental and physical health.

Yuqi quickly walked over to the rack of towels, grabbed one, and joined Pan in cleaning the tables. They chatted a little as they continued, talking about eachother's days and how they went.

While they were busy cleaning the tables for the customers, another girl walked, and the girls turned to look at her.

Yuqi beamed on seeing you standing in the doorway. Pan smiled too, walking over to greet you.

"Hey Y/n, had fun?" Pan asked and you nodded a little, gently touching the back of your neck as you thought about how you spent the day with Hyunjin and Jeongin. The boys were even reluctant to let you go to work until Chan called them back to their dorms.

"Wait- what's that-" Yuqi pointed at your neck, squinting her eyes. She noticed the slightly reddened skin on both sides of your neck and raised a brow at you, a teasing smirk on her face.

"Oh my!- did they fu-"

"Yes, now shut up, let's get everything set up for the customers," You said, hiding the small blush on your cheek as you walked past the two girls and toward the counter.

Yuqi chuckled as she followed after you and Pan stood there, biting her lip, sulking a bit.

Both Yuqi and Y/n looked happy- and she knew it was because of the physical affection they got from their soulmates. The closer you were to them, the more you touch them, the happier you become.

And when was the last time she had felt a touch like that?

8 months.

Iseul was in his repair shop, fixing a tire.

He had his full focus on it and right when he reached for his toolbox, the car jack that held the car up was thrown away, and the vehicle came down, almost crushing one of his arms which he was luckily able to take from under the vehicle on time.

"Okay, what the fuck-" He muttered before turning to his right, seeing a male standing there, arms crossed over his torso.

Iseul narrowed his eyes slightly at the male before getting up, dusting his work-wears a bit.

"You know, you could've crushed my fingers, or worse, damaged the cars just now" Iseul sighed and the taller male rolled his eyes before glaring at the younger.

"That's not important. Can you tell me why you didn't pick up my phone this afternoon?" Kyle asked, his voice sounding pissed.

Iseul pursed his lips. "I was- busy" He shrugged and Kyle scoffed.

Well- Iseul was busy. He walked a certain person home after searching for her in a storm- he didn't even know why he had done that.

"Mhm... I was at Y/n's. It was the perfect timing" Kyle said, and Iseul's eyes widened slightly.

"Wait- you were supposed to tell me before going- you know I can't just come whenever-" Isuel paused, thinking about his own words before frowning a little and looking at the taller male.

"You had gone there without telling me... that wasn't how we agreed. What if the same thing back in high school happens?" Iseul felt uneasy when he asked that. He hated that memory.

It was a mistake and he wished he hadn't even brought it up to the same guy who bullied her back then. His plan was for Kyle to corner the girl, and maybe throw a few hurtful words at her, never to physically inflict any pain.

But by the time he found them, it was too late. He had used her body, despite how much she had cried and screamed that night. If Iseul had taken any longer to find them, he knew the girl could've possibly been even more traumatized.

He was guilty of it, even though he didn't mean it to happen. It didn't even occur to him even once. All he wanted was to show her that he'd always be there for her and that the person she was meant to be with was him.

But now, since Kyle had mentioned he had gone to the girl's house, he had this uneasy feeling. Iseul knew the male didn't regret the slightest after what had he done to her. He didn't want the past to repeat itself, as much as he felt Kyle's plan might actually work and get Y/n to love him.

"It won't happen again." Iseul looked at the male when he spoke. Kyle had a different spark in his dark eyes. Even he could feel the coldness from his stare.

"Okay but..." Iseul started and paused, averting his gaze from the older male. "Is this really necessary?" He asked. Iseul frowned at his own question. Ever since he had met Y/n, all he wanted was to make her his- what was making him feel like he would be okay even if she wasn't his?

Was it the fact that she had her own soulmates?

Or was it the fact that an image of another girl had been flashing in his mind since that afternoon?
