Hi guys!
This is my first time writing a fanfic/short story, so bare with me :)
Song to the right is Warzone :) It's sooo sad T.T
*I don't know where The Wanted got the idea of writing the song Warzone, this is just my interpretation of it.*
Anyways, here it is :)

Warzone
“I’m busy tonight, how about tomorrow?” Suzie’s sweet voice told him over the phone.
Nathan somehow knew she was lying, blame it on the faint music or girls screaming on the other line, but he let it go as always. “Okay. I’ll see you tomorrow, babe.”
Someone giggled on the other line, and it was clear that sound didn’t come from Suzie’s mouth. “’Kay, bye!”
He disconnected the call and thought about what he could do for the night, since his girlfriend obviously had something better to do than watch a movie with him. After listening to Suzie laughing and having fun at wherever she was, he felt foolish that someone like her would spend her precious Sunday evening to watch a movie.
But he had been thoughtful. Nathan already prepared her favourite lasagna, salad, and even had his mom help him to make a sweet chocolate cake. The table was set with a cinnamon scented candle on each side, and soft music played in the background.
He always knew that she was the party girl; even though that was something he also did on a daily basis. He thought that it was time for them to spend some time alone with a romantic dinner for once. It turned out Suzie didn’t exactly approve.
It was just him and a whole plate of cold lasagna for that night, he presumed.

“Seriously, mate. You just have to let her go,” Max’s voice echoed around the whole flat as he entered like he owned the place.
Nathan shook his messy brown hair. “No.”
“Nathan, let’s be serious here.” Tom walked in then, throwing the bags of groceries on the floor. Nathan prepared himself for a long lecture, which was always expected when Tom had that look on his face.
It was true, he guessed. The lads had a point with Suzie. She wasn’t exactly the best girlfriend in the world, with not returning his calls, forgetting dinner dates, and especially that incident the night before, she couldn’t really be labeled the best thing that ever happened to him.
But they were wrong, Nathan thought. When he was with her, he felt alive. She could make him smile in ways that no one else could ever do to him, her laugh was contagious and he felt himself laughing along with her every single time she opened that mouth of hers.
Maybe it was something else – Suzie made him feel loved for he was. As a teenager, he was often teased for being skinny. Even though he was now nineteen with a lot more muscle, he was still the same insecure boy. But being with Suzie made him feel safe, almost like she didn’t judge him by his looks or fame, she loved him the way he was.
That was why he didn’t listen to Tom, who apparently had more experience with women since he was almost three years older, but Nathan thought otherwise. His choices with women hadn’t been the best for the past few years, so Nathan drowned out his friend’s warnings and concerns as soon as he opened his mouth.
“Are you even listening to me?” Tom smacked the back of Nathan’s head lightly, clearly frustrated.
He didn’t even bother to hide his honesty. “No.”
