We ended up in a large tea house. We learned the drunk's name was Lu Yan.

"How did we get here, is there a way to get back?" Jason asked.

"You're both newcomers, from the Gate of No Gate. That staff...doesn't belong to you."

"Who's it's rightful owner?"

"The Monkey King."

"What happened to him?"

"Let's start from the beginning. The Monkey king was born of a stone, he was immortal, nobody could defeat him."

*Monkey King Flashback, Third Person POV*

The Monkey King was above the clouds looking around with a girl the same age as Kai.

"The Monkey King was although mischievous, he was capable of finding a mate and his daughter Ah Sun was born," Lu Yan narrated.

Ah Sun joined her father in fighting soldiers.

"They were inseparable, closer than any father and daughter. He never failed to make her smile."

Ah Sun was laughing as The Monkey King was being silly while fighting. Another soldier came at her. Tai Chi was her style. The soldier was on the ground in seconds. The Monkey King was laughing and clapping. They sprang into each other's arms and jumped around in a celebratory fashion.

"Every 500 years, the Jade Emperor wakes from his slumber and attends the Peach Banquet at the top of the mountain of Fruit and Flowers, drinking the Elixir of Immortality."

Both the king and princess entered the banquet.

"Into the banquet, the Monkey King and his daughter crashed uninvited. The Jade Emperor was enchanted by the Monkey King and the Monkey Princess."

The Monkey King was in the peach tree, he tossed a peach to Ah Sun and she ate it.

"But the Jade Warlord was not amused. As master of the army, the warlord demanded the Monkey duo bow down to him."

The Monkey King jumped down, shook his butt at the warlord. Ah Sun laughed. A couple soldiers attacked him and his staff whacked them off. When there was peace, he sat down and laid his staff next to him. He motioned for Ah Sun to come to him. She sat in front of him, he started feeling of her head for bugs and ate them like any monkey parent.

"They are a bit unrefined, that's all. Give the naughty monkey and his daughter a title...and let them go," the Jade Emperor said.

The Jade Emperor started floating away.

"Satisfied all was well in Heaven and Earth, the emperor left to begin to 500 years meditation, leaving the Jade Warlord in charge by Mandate of Heaven. But rather than obey the Jade Emperor's command, the warlord challenged the Monkey King to a duel. High up Five Elements Mountain, in the warlord's palace, the battle of immortals was fought to prove once and for all whose skills were supreme," Lu Yan narrated.

The Monkey King and the Jade Warlord were fighting in the palace while Ah Sun was watching far away. Soon, the Monkey King poked a hair off his head and blew it revealing a clone of himself. It worked for a minute. The Monkey King came of his hiding place ready to continue. The warlord used his chi magic to conjure a pot of fire behind him and attempted to hit him. The Monkey King broke it with his staff. The warlord tried again but with some spears. He charged through them like they were nothing. He casted the last spear at the warlord but he used chi magic to turn it to stone.

"Most excellent stick fighting Sun Wukong, but without your weapon, you and your cub are nothing but lowly hermits. No more weapons, no more chi magic, fist against fists," the warlord said.

The Monkey King willingly put his staff down.

"The Monkey King was too trusting and believed the warlord's words, laying down his magic weapon," Lu Yan narrated.

The warlord blasted chi magic out of nowhere at the Monkey King.

"Father!" Ah Sun screamed.

The soldiers restrained her. He casted the staff out of the palace.

"Realizing he'd been tricked, the Monkey King casted the staff out in the middle kingdom," Lu Yan narrated.

The Monkey King turned to stone. Ah Sun managed to force herself from the soldiers' restrain and fought the Jade Warlord.

"The Monkey Princess was vengeful and decided to attack the warlord. But he was stronger than the girl."

The warlord choked her for a few seconds then slammed her down. He snapped his fingers for a soldier to haul her to her feet. He unsheathed his sword.

"Now you will join him in eternity," the warlord said.

He sliced her head off.

*Flashback End*

Lu Yan concluded the story.

"The poor princess was beheaded. 500 years passed and when the Seeker comes and frees the Monkey King, he will be hit with tragedy that his princess is gone."

"So, we have to go to Five Elements Mountain, free the Monkey King, and defeat the Jade Warlord?" Jason asked.

"Yes."

"What about me? I ended up here with him, how could I help?" I asked.

"I don't know, you could help him, or just be spare baggage."

I wanted to smack the drunk for insulting me. Suddenly, a band of soldiers walked in to look for us.

"Hand it over," a soldier said.

We stood up, Jason clutching the staff.

"Hand it over or die!"

Jason tossed the staff to Lu Yan and the fight started. Me and Jason struggled because we didn't know how to fight, we stay as close to Lu Yan as possible. Then, a lady in black aided us, she was pretty and kickass at the same time.

"Who are you?" Lu Yan asked her.

"Golden Sparrow, a traveler."

We rode off evading the soldiers once again with a new companion.
