Y/n's POV
I enabled the skills that I had disabled since I'd need all the power I had to help deal with Shalltear. I looked at the skills and started looking at how to use them effectively, but there were so many variables since I didn't know what skills Shalltear had. After waiting for what seemed like hours. Ainz and mama came back to Ainz's office and looked at me. "I've gathered everything I need to face off with Shalltear. Is there anything that you need?" Ainz asked. I nodded. "Do you have a copy of her skills that she has or uses?" I asked. Ainz nodded and wrote down a list of skills and magic that she'd have or use against us. "I'm not sure how I feel about you taking Y/n with you, lord Ainz." Mama said.
"What makes you say that, Albedo?" Ainz asked. I looked up at them, confused about what mama meant by that. "It's going to be a huge battle from what you described, lord Ainz. And I'm not sure if I trust my daughter being out there." Mama said, looking at me with concern.
"Albedo, Y/n's just as strong as anyone of the other 41 supreme beings." Ainz said. Mama just looked at him before looking at me. "I'll be okay mama, don't worry. Besides I've enabled a few skills that will allow me to keep up with Shalltear, no matter how much power she has." I said. I continued reading through the skills and magic that Shaltear has. "Is there any skills or magic that would cause you trouble?" Ainz asked.
"Nothing really, but I am curious about this last one." I said.
"Ah yes, the one that allows her to revive back to full health with no mana remaining." Ainz said.
"Yeah, should I take over the figh at a certain time?" I asked.
"No, if anything once she uses that skill I'd prefer if you let me handle her." Ainz said.
"Are you sure? As a mage once you run out of mana you can't fight." I asked.
"I have a plan and in all honesty, I wasn't sure if I should allow you to fight in the first place since this will probably be the most dangerous battle we've faced." Ainz explained. I nodded and finished reading all of Shalltear's before we planned to head out. I went looking through my inventory one final time before finding my most powerful gear that I knew about in a hidden spot I set aside for powerful gear. "Almost ready Y/n?" Ainz asked.
"One sec, gotta go change into my powerful gear." I said. He nodded as I headed off to my room and changed into my gear which made me look like a shrine maiden (think like Yae Miko from Genshin but younger). I did one final check on gear and items before heading out to meet with Ainz near the Tomb's entrance. "Ready to go?" Ainz asked before looking back at me.
"Yeah, and I'm only helping during the first part of the fight?" I asked. He nodded before using gate to get close to Shalltear. Aura and Mare went with us to keep an eye out for anyone who would be setting a trap for us. I had to walk with Ainz to where Shalltear was waiting to fight. Once we arrived Ainz looked at me before I nodded and started preparing for the fight. I used many of the same spells he did to increase my strength before sitting down on the ground and meditating for a second. "What are you doing, Y/n?" Ainz asked. I didn't answer as I felt some new energy enter my body. After a minute or so of meditating the energy I was absorbing stopped before I opened my eyes and they were more fox like then before. "Sorry, I gained a powerful skill after reaching max level which allows me to absorb energy from the area around me to improve my overall stats and abilities.(Think like Naruto sage mode, my partner 19DKline recommended this which I thought would be good.)" I explained.
"I see, hopefully we've prepared enough that we can defeat Shalltear with some ease." Ainz said. I nodded as he was activating super teir magic. "Remember this attack will probably agro her." Ainz said.
"Don't worry, I haven't had a challenge in this game for a long time once I maxed my level." I said. I used my fire and ice magic to create swords that floated around me. "Fallen Down!" Ainz said, as he activated his super teir magic. Once the dust settled from his attack and we could see Shalltear again she was in red plate-armor with her lance that would allow her to heal if we were hit. Shalltear started laughing before looking up at us. "Be careful lord Ainz, I might think you're trying to kill me. Nice try." Shalltear said.
"It wasn't much of a present, but I hope you enjoyed it." Ainz said.
"Oh I most certainly did, what atreat this will be. I get to enjoy killing a powerful man like lord Ainz with my own two hands, how wonderful." Shalltear said.
"Interesting, why are you still calling me that?" Ainz asked.
"isn't it obvious? You are still one of the supreme beings lord Ainz. Calling you anything less than that would be the height of arrogance." Shalltear said.
"Who is your master, Shalltear?" Ainz asked.
"What kind of question is that lord? This doesn't make sense, why do I want to kill my beloved master?" Shalltear asked. She was having some issue with what she was doing before she brought up Ainz's attire. "I feel like I'm being left out of this conversation." I said.
"Sorry Y/n, but you now know what's going on correct?" Ainz asked.
"Of course." I said. As we were talking for that second Shalltear charged towards us. "Watch your step." Ainz said. As Shalltear got closer to us an explosion went off and knocked her back. Ainz started casting maximise magic spells before I charged in grabbing one of my ice swords for me to use. When Shalltear got caught in one of Ainz's maximise magic spells I used the changed to started dealing major damage to Shalltear while leaving parts of her body covered in ice. "What's this there's not only one of the now 42 supreme beings but two here for me to kill." Shalltear said, looking at me.
"Good luck hitting me with that large weapon." I said, as she tried to stab me with it. I easily dodged the weapon by side stepping before rushing forward and stabbing her with my sword. My sword shattered against her armor, but left a large dent in it. "How dare you! This armor was a gift from my creator!" Shalltear screamed. She flew up and tried to stab me with her lance again. I dodged again this time backstepping instead of anything else. She flew in close to try and hit me agian before I punched her armor sending her flying backwards. "Oh my so rough for such a young girl." Shalltear said.
"I haven't even started." I said. We kept clashing while Ainz was casting his spells clowly draining her health. "How do you, a child, have this much power?" Shalltear asked, as I knocked her away again.
"Easy, I've learned to use skills corretly and effciently." I said, before turning one of my floating fire swords into a lance and sending it towards her. She used her Negative Impact Shield to defend herself from my attack. The fight seemed to rage on for a while as my sage skill was starting to run out since I was using it to continiously dodge and attack Shalltear. My mana was drainging just as quickly since I kept breaking and reforming the swords that I used against Shalltear. Once my mana hit the point where I'd only have enough to open a gate to go back home I stopped summoning my magic swords and focused on using some of the marital arts that I learned before coming to this world. I eventually jumped back close to Ainz as my sage skill ran out. "Sorry, Ainz, but I'm out of my sage skill." I apologized.
"It's fine, hopefully you left enough mana for yourself to escape." Ainz said. I nodded before opening a gate and walking through to get back to the tomb. Once the gate closed I felt exhausted from fighting against Shalltear that entire time. "Y/n!" Mama called as she came running out from the Tomb's entrance. I looked up at her and smiled before falling to my knees. Mama managed to catch me before I hit the ground with my face. "Are you okay, sweetie?" Mama asked, as she helped my back up. I nodded and laid my head against her. "Yeha, I'm fine, just exhausted." I explained. I heard mama giggle before feeling myself get picked up and put on her back. "Well you can hang onto me and rest while we watch the fight between lord Ainz and Shalltear finish in lord Ainz's office." Mama said. I nodded gently wrapping my arms around her neck so I didn't fall off her back.
