The battle has moved to Earth now.
Optimus Prime and the crew of the Ark have been exiled by Sentinel Prime, an insane tyrant who now leads the Autobots.
And... What about Megatron? He has been overthrown by Shockwave. Soundwave is still awaiting his former Leader's recovery, while Starscream, while still treacherous, feels a bit more relaxed under the leadership of Shockwave.
The Autobots and Decepticons have formed many teams. They include the Wreckers, Protectobots, Dinobots, as well as the noted pirate crew Team Rodimus. The Decepticons on the other hand have their own crew of knights and Samurai warriors, known as the Mayhem.
The battles between the opposing crews intensify as Team Rodimus travels to Karbala, Najaf, Kufa, and several other places in Iraq and Iran to prevent the Mayhem from attaining the fragments of an important artifact- the core of Dark Energon.
